Think we should get a result at Shrews tomorrow. Their games so far have been pretty easy, all near the bottom. Hardest game so far for Shrewsbury was against Oxford which they drew.
Both managers like to play attacking footy so could be an entertaining game this one. I’ll go for 2 – 1 to us.

9 September 2017 at 1:08 am #161847I’m not going so it is going to be a crackin’ good game. Wigan will win 1 – 3. We’ll get and easy early goal and they’ll equalise with in 4 minutes. End to end stuff until finally Max comes on and with one of his first few touches scores a stunner. Bogle would have scored if he’d been on side. Powell and of course Dan Burn willscore! Will Grigg will have a goal disallowed for no good reason. Assists will be by Nathan Byrne and Reece James.
9 September 2017 at 1:56 am #161848I think we’ll definitely get a result tomorrow.
9 September 2017 at 8:59 pm #161850sounded garbage!
9 September 2017 at 9:34 pm #161852Got beat by a bloody good team today. Extremely hard working and lots of quality. Too many players didn’t perform for us but, I won’t take anything away from Shrewsbury, well worth their 3 points.
We will just have to bounce back on Tuesday and tell Powell and a few others to stop the Johnny Big Bollux stuff. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!9 September 2017 at 9:40 pm #161854Just spoke to my brother who was at game.He said much the same as you.He wasn’t impressed with Toney,or Massey thinks Grigg Colclough should be looking to start next game.Credit to Shrewsbury though it shows their start no fluke. One eye on my tip Rivers 7 goals in 2 games .
9 September 2017 at 9:41 pm #161855And Blackburn hit 7 too !!! oooops !
9 September 2017 at 9:47 pm #161856Today…..
A reality check. Never good to lose, obviously, but might end up giving our players a kick up the behind and a realisation that they can’t just stroll through games.
I’d take a point at Charlton now and a win next Saturday.
9 September 2017 at 11:42 pm #161861Think you’re right with a reality check vat…
As JR said can’t take anything away from Shrewsbury they were well organized today and worked hard.
But that said, our performance was a shock to me. Poor in every department.
Not saying Powell did anything wrong but I’d have taken him off at half time. He likes time on the ball and Shrews didn’t give him any.
Our lot stood off, and looked like they hadn’t played together before? Hope that type of performance is a one off!!10 September 2017 at 11:47 am #161866Perhaps we’ve all got carried away us beating shite teams. Oldham, Bury and MK Dons have only won 3 games between them all season.
10 September 2017 at 1:06 pm #161867We beat Shrewsbury 5-1 at their place 18 months ago. But that was back in the day when Will Grigg was on fire and we had a £9m parachute payment to bankroll our promotion charge.
Its a lot tougher in this league when its a level playing field.

Not really relevant.
We have built a very good team, without parachute payment now, under a good manager.
We had a bad day. Things like this happen. Bad days happen.
The team we have should be good enough to see us alright.11 September 2017 at 1:15 am #161871Thanks Garswood, I’ll sleep tonight.

This is something my dad mentioned when we came down, that we would be facing teams who have built themselves over 2 or 3 seasons. We will face a few others like this.
Overall though, we will be good enough.
