Work nights so went straight to ground from work.Got there 06:45 already around 120 in front of me. 30 mins later queue stretched around North stand then halfway down east. Ticket office opened and everyone in queue frantically trying phone and purchase as they knew they’d sell out online. I was around 50 from ticket office when I completed online sale,so left queue at 09:10……..heard all gone by 09:20……there will be a shit load of pissed people who’ve queued for over 2hrs in cold and rain who likely didn’t get ticket.
5 April 2022 at 10:29 am #196044Fiasco time, 2 m8’s went down I did online from home for us all just in case. Phoneline was engaged not even in a queue. my m8’s they missed out I got there’s online. They queued from 7ish. Not sure a better way with about 6k wanting 1.65k in tickets.
Some guys were getting 20+ which for me was wrong. 2 or 4 per person would have been better then head count the queue and have a cut off point.
5 April 2022 at 1:42 pm #196047The way they sold the tickets today was a absolute joke of a shit show absolutely disgusting.
5 April 2022 at 5:13 pm #196053What would you suggest?, mine suggestion was away ticket purchase history. Then lower it every couple of days. 1 per season.
It’s the only way other than that a ballot like alot of big clubs do.6 April 2022 at 7:47 am #196054That’s a good shout,I’d definitely put it four seasons tickets per person due to not everyone can take time of work to queue.yesterday was a disgrace on the fans that go away all the time.shambles.
6 April 2022 at 8:02 am #196055I was in the supporters bar against Accrington and Shrewsbury tickets was the talk of the town.
Lots have missed out 2 fellas who hadn’t missed an away game but didn’t get one.
The club allowed people to queue up with 20+ season tickets at hand which was a bellend thing to do. With only 1650 me personally I would have set it to 2 per person and made it on a Sunday giving more a fair chance.
Latics have run ticket allocation as a sgambles. Granted we’ve been in admin but its the fundamental part of going football purchasing match tickets.
We won’t have this problem “if” we go up simply because of the bigger grounds we’ll be going to.6 April 2022 at 8:31 am #1960591 per ST.
Whether the ST holder queues or not is irrelevant.
Not sure what else people expect them to do. They sold some online for those that couldn’t queue and sold most in the queue.
Spot on I would say.
6 April 2022 at 9:08 am #196060Do you not have a loyalty point system within your ST Holders? One point for every away league game. One point for every cup game. 33% who have most points get phase 1 access for a couple of days or so, with 1 per ST Holder, then phase 2 for another 33%, then the rest of the ST holders, then general sale. A simple pecking order determined on how much you have supported the club over the years.
I’m sure he gets one, but for blokes like Jason Taylor to be in a ticket scrum with a spotty yoof who only started going midway through this season is ridiculous. And being able to buy multiple tickets is even more ridiculous.
6 April 2022 at 9:27 am #196062You couldn’t buy multiple tickets. You could buy 1 ticket for every ST.
Why do we need a points system? It isn’t like we sell out week in week out, and with a number of games POTD, it wouldn’t work anyway.

Yes that does work but if you used that system from day one it gives no one else a chance to get an important away game ticket when there scarce.
There’s no magical answer 5000 into 1650 doesn’t work do your math. The only thing I disagree with is, a handful of people stood in the first 50 people taking all the tickets. No one should be allowed to queue up then pick up 20-25 tickets, utter shambles.
Question:
Have those who ordered Shrewsbury online recieved your tickets yet??. I haven’t recieved mine but everyone I know has.
I contacted ticket office and they said it was def mailed out. I recieved 1 of 2 but the other hasn’t come -
