U14s final and the lad scores from the halfway line
Surprised more sides haven’t done this since the rule changed about kick offs. Very rare a keeper stands on his line at the kick off.
My grandson (he’s 6) played a game at the weekend, and they usually (because of their age) lump it forward from kick off to be able to run onto. If they play it backwards it’s disastrous :)
However the other team were moaning “you can’t kick it forward at kick off” :(Amount of people who dont know the rules at games is frightening really.
Was in a bar in Newcastle on Saturday after the Saints game and people were calling for Jones to be sent off after the penalty.

However the other team were moaning “you can’t kick it forward at kick off” :(That’s bizarre coz before the law change, the ball had to move forward from a kick off – you just couldn’t score direct from a kick off. Nor could you kick it directly backwards.
What freakin laws had they been playing to for all these years????Teams expect the ball to go back from kick off these days, I’d love to see Latics shock a team by kicking off by having Jacobs set off on a spring in centre circle run onto the ball.. Tapped forward by the kick off player and another two or three players quickly sprinting up in support.
Could catch a team out cold like that.

Nah, Roy Race used to do that every other week in the 60’s
