My grandson (he’s 6) played a game at the weekend, and they usually (because of their age) lump it forward from kick off to be able to run onto. If they play it backwards it’s disastrous :)
However the other team were moaning “you can’t kick it forward at kick off” :(
That’s bizarre coz before the law change, the ball had to move forward from a kick off – you just couldn’t score direct from a kick off. Nor could you kick it directly backwards.
What freakin laws had they been playing to for all these years????
