Was chatting to a St.Johnstone supporter today. He tells me that Jason Scotland was far from a star when he played for them. They are amazed that he’s now in the Premiership. I know many others who share this view.
However, on a brighter note, he tells me that James McArthy is a genuine talent and that lots of big clubs were after him. The fact that he isn’t a regular at Wigan puzzles them as much as JS’s possession of the Wigan No.9 shirt.
4 January 2010 at 9:52 pm #17100I was talking 2 a Gretna fan & said the same thing during the Hull game
4 January 2010 at 10:37 pm #17110Was talking to a Rangers fan and a Dundee fan, they both said that whilst Jason Scotland was over there he wasn’t too bad, actually they said he was better than not too bad, I quickly shot them down and said he’s useless.
They both also said that Aiden McGeady is the best player is Scottish football… Isnt that him who we were linked with?4 January 2010 at 10:56 pm #17111I was talking to a Celtic fan and he said that it is really cold up there and could get to minus 12 degrees Celcius
5 January 2010 at 12:48 am #17124tha’s a rum un jimmy
5 January 2010 at 12:11 pm #17152McGeady wont leave Cetlic for Wigan, trust me. Am a big Celtic fan and he is a class player, but wouldnt step away from Celtic for us, prbably a top 6 team if he does leave. Scott McDonald would be a good signing though.

Gretna and St Johnstone? Give me a break

Good call Griff. Watched the celtic v rangers game the other day and for the talent on show and class of football, might as well been watching Yeovil v Rochdale.
The players who are making the headlines up there at the moment are the likes of Danny Cadimarterri [sp] and Danny Invincible FFS.

So, let me get this right…
You cut and pasted an incorrect spelling but then removed the ‘r’ from said incorrect spelling, thus implying that you think “Cadimarterri” is wrong but “Cadimaterri” is right?

I knew I’d fooked up on that one and couldn’t be bothered google-ing for the correct spelling, thats why I put [sp] after it.
yes it is the same one, made his name at Everton and had a spell at Bradford if I recall amongst others.

What a journey!5 January 2010 at 3:38 pm #17183Ok Griff was a partial lie, I didn’t technically C&P it I ‘thought’ Id copied it letter for letter, seems i hadn’t  … But I didn’t imply mine was right, to be fair think they’re both wrong. Love you Griff.

I’m quite excited by the prospect of Scott McDonald signing, even it it just to see the mono-brow playing in a blue shirt and in a stadium that doesn’t wobble when it’s windy…..
We are the people etc etc.
Seriously though, he is a good player. I’d prefer Boyd, but McDonald has a much better work ethic. Not sure what he’ll offer different to Hugo though, as he’s only about about foot seven.
