Great performance from every single Latics player.

Through adversity comes strength !8 July 2020 at 9:05 pm #187781If there was a doubt about whether they care
If you want to see spirit, guts and togetherness
If you want some belief that it is possible
That game answers things and shows things
Barnsley and hull next, what a chance8 July 2020 at 9:11 pm #187782I agree with what everyone has mentioned so far. I was so proud to call myself a Wigan Athletic fan tonight.
8 July 2020 at 10:09 pm #187783The attitude of Paul Cook and the players tonight was immense, we are going to do this, we are going to beat this we are wigan UTFT.

WE WILL BEAT THIS TOGETHER
9 July 2020 at 1:12 pm #187815i totally agree with all the sentiments , that was a performance from the heart and i doubt any team in the division will be relishing playing this wonderful bunch of players at the moment.
All busted their guts to get that victory and Moore carrying on with hsi injury said it all to me as well as Joffy already ready to get on the pitch before he had been properly treated.
Every game a cup final now , no more to be said!9 July 2020 at 3:47 pm #187817I’ve been a supporter of the Latics for 50 plus years and it’s been a rollercoaster of a ride to say the least, but just when you think you’ve seen it all this team comes up with something that leaves me in awe.
It would have been so easy for the manager and team to give up and look to move on but the attitude and commitment from them all is absolutely first class.
Even if it all goes pear shaped at least we as fans will know that Paul Cook and the boys and all the backroom staff have done everything in their power to keep us afloat.
We are Wigan.
BELIEVE!!!10 July 2020 at 1:49 am #187819Truly inspiring/uplifting effort by the squad. I’d feel better about survival if our hopes weren’t dependent on the likes of Millwall & Birmingham. Had to be this year, where someone with historically a fairly decent point total is likely to be relegated. Oh well, can only control what we can control, and the team has done their part & reinforced why it’s great to be a Wigan fan.
10 July 2020 at 9:01 am #187823The way I see it we’ve stayed up now. The team has performed a miracle by clawing themselves adrift at the bottom to mid table security. If the EFL then choose to relegated us and reward failure to a club potentially with 12 points less than us then so be it. They then need to justify how that protects the so called integrity of the league
10 July 2020 at 10:13 am #187825Anyone know when the sheff we’d decision is due on their points deduction? They are potentially at risk as well, for different reasons

Any other season Lowey, we would be safe. But if the 12 point deduction comes into effect we find ourselves joint bottom & 4 points behind. I’m just hoping & praying we can win the next 3 games with other results going our way.
10 July 2020 at 10:52 am #187827The difference between us and Sheff. Wed. is that they may have knowingly broken the rules whereas we had no knowledge of what was about to hit us.
The EFL should clarify their position on this matter but as has been pointed out before they will probably give them a points deduction less than what would be needed to relegate them.
