Wigan Council are an absolute disgrace…….
£1635 was my last council tax bill,and these ar***oles who run the council cant even get the roads freed up!
Makes my pyss boil!
I was thinking and saying exactly the same thing this morning when I slid down three streets before I got to the A49, even that had minimal if any grit on it.#
Will we get a rebate, thought not
Its not just Wigan where the gritters have been either invisible or just not deployed. I live on the border of Rutland and Lincolnshire, and we have copped for between 6 and 8 inches of snow since Friday morning. Not a gritted road in sight apart from the A1.
Incidentally, Rutland Council Tax on average is the highest outside London.
Came down Standish Lower Ground, on Saturday night, from Shevington way.
Was like a cross between a bloody bobsleigh and being on one of those speeder-bike things from ‘Return Of The Jedi’.
All over the bloody place. That corner near the Royal Oak? Christ, good job we were going slow. :lol:
Pi*s poor council. I’d just come back from Burnley, and their roads were clear and very very gritted.
If the gritters and snow ploughs would have been out yesterday, they would have cleared the snow and we would have decent roads today.
The sad thing is that the council will get voted back in despite their lack of effort. Someone needs to explain what the F is going on !
