I was thinking and saying exactly the same thing this morning when I slid down three streets before I got to the A49, even that had minimal if any grit on it.#
Its not just Wigan where the gritters have been either invisible or just not deployed. I live on the border of Rutland and Lincolnshire, and we have copped for between 6 and 8 inches of snow since Friday morning. Not a gritted road in sight apart from the A1.
Incidentally, Rutland Council Tax on average is the highest outside London.
Wigan’s training ground must be caked with snow. All the North West matches at the weekend will obviously be called off. It’s a shame Whelan doesn’t spend a few bob to get the snow near the DW Stadium, in the back of a lorry. Oh well ….
