Somebody died whilst playing on pitch 2 apparently.
Don’t know anything myself as I don’t play wednesday night but a mate of mine told me earlier.
Hit his head on the wall, came round but then they lost him again and he never woke up.
Very sad news.
Thoughts go out to all his family and friends, RIP.4 February 2010 at 6:58 pm #21367StandishWalkerPlayer

What time was that?
I was there between 8 and 10 and saw nothing.
Shocking news if it’s true.4 February 2010 at 7:24 pm #21380
Like I said, I know nothing about it myself, heard it from a mate earlier today. His exact words were a lad at work told me today that he smacked his head against the wall, came round but then they lost him again and he never came round.
Anyone else know anything? I am playing in there tonight.
Terrible news if true and quite scary to be honest.4 February 2010 at 11:10 pm #21415MartinPlayer

My team had a league game cancelled last night, i’m not sure if it was because of that incident or the weather. We play outside though so probably is the latter.5 February 2010 at 2:00 am #21491MoMoPlayer

you are right, someone did die on wednesday night, but he never hit his head,i was talking to the referee who was ref on pitch 2 tonight and the guy had a heart attack, he was 42, just thought i would let u all know.5 February 2010 at 12:21 pm #21548
I was at the dome last night and found out what happened.
On pitch 2 there was a group of lads/guys who were just having a kick around (not a league game) so no referee. One of the lads smashed his head on the wall and was knocked out, a guy who worked for the dome was a trained first aider so managed to bring him round and kept him talking for around 5 mins making sure he was ok, etc until the ambulance arrived. After 5 mins, no sign of ambulance and they lost him, they couldn’t bring him back round. Apparently, the dome were fuming that it took the ambulance so long to arrive.
Not sure who the guy is or how old he was.
This info was from a young lad who works at the dome, he was there wednesday night and saw what happened although MoMo has been told different.
Either way, it’s very sad news.5 February 2010 at 12:32 pm #21553Chris GriffinPlayer

Heart attack? Head trauma? Somebody doesn’t know the facts and, as sad and tragic as this undoubtedly is, it serves no purpose to keep going on about it, really.
