What a soft goal to give away at Gillingham, what the hell was Ten bob yed Dunkley thinking about? Jones positioning was awful too.

So much for Cook not chopping and changing for the sake of it, Grigg on the bench again i see!
Fuck the EFL
18 October 2017 at 12:35 pm #162662Agree about the defending.
Dunkley was more concerned about who he thought Byrne should be marking than concentrating on his own job. Burn on the other hand was in no mans land & had no idea who was round him18 October 2017 at 3:40 pm #162664At this point in the game, we were really struggling with that No 9.
But in defence of Dunkley, he made two game-changing contributions last night: first a lovely clean tackle from behind when they had someone through on goal, and later a brave dive in front of a goalbound shot. It was the best game I’ve seen him have so far. Burn, Morsy and Power were also pretty good.
My main concern was that Jacobs was so deep; Elder was ahead of him most of the time, but they didn’t link up anywhere near as effectively as Byrne and Massey had in the first half. Jacobs was hogging the halfway line so much it was like watching a repeat of the dark days of Warren Joyce.

I have noticed this recently. I think we look more balanced when he plays with Reece James on the left with him.
We can’t complain too much though, it’s looking pretty good overall.18 October 2017 at 9:20 pm #162685Early days yet gents. Could race away with it or slip right back yet. A long way to go. Could do with Will Grigg not being out too long. His movement in the box and drawing defenders is something we can’t do without for too long. He is doing the work to allow for all the goals coming from midfielders like Jacobs and Powell.
18 October 2017 at 9:28 pm #162687Of the games we have dropped points this season Will Grigg hasn’t started in any. Why was he dropped last night? Could he have been carrying a knock or was Toney played because of his tap in goal on Saturday. Strange one really.
18 October 2017 at 9:32 pm #162688If other teams can up their game when they play us why cant we raise our game to nullify the threat of dropping points?
We need to be on our mettle every game in this league, one or two in our team seem to think we have nowt to do but turn up!
Fuck the EFL

Ey up! I’ve been waiting for this. The other day i posted why it was oh so quiet after another fine win. Drop a couple of points (away from home) & suddenly the doom merchants are back. Predictable & boring really!!

I don’t have a problem. But whenever we win, its always quiet.
19 October 2017 at 1:22 am #162707You got 20+ posts on the thread you started, i was thinking about posting on there that the 3-0 scoreline against Southend flattered us and apart from the last 10 minutes it was shite, but decided not to bother.
