I have heard quite a few stories over the last few days and wanted to know if any of you have heard the same things..
(1) The camp has been split in two by John Terry. This is because he was dropped as captain and has been at loggerheads with cappello. It was he who said what he did on camera following the Algeria (non) performance. He was also the person who arranged the bottles of beer thing before the Slovenia match to which Gerrard, Carragher, Rooney and a few others didn’t join in.
(2) It was Terry’s idea to do the team huddle at the end of the Slovenia match to say to Cappello that he runs the team, I was told that not all players wanted to jon in on this and some didn’t.
(3) Germany match, he played on the opposite side to where he normally players and was constantly out of position on purpose because he didn’t agree with the team who was picked including Upson. Why he was up in the German half on the right wing before their third goal is a mystery.
……All interesting things…not too sure Terry would do some of these things on Purpose….I guess the only silver lining is that Lampard and a few others will be too old to play in the next world cup!

If there’s any truth in the Terry rumours about the players not being fully behind what he said in that press conference, think we’ll find out from one of the players soon enough….especially as he gave it the big “I am” and how he was a leader etc.
He comes out with all that and then gives a performance yesterday that would have got him dropped from a Sunday league side, absolute disgrace, although he wasn’t helped by Upson. Together that must have been the slowest, most inept England centre half pairing that’s been seen in a long time.
Spot on Abram and even if Terry was on the right instead of his preferred left he should still be good enough and fast enough to do a damn sight better than he did. Upson got in on one tackle he made v Slovenia coz he was crap for the rest of that game as well and as for Johnson all i can say is bring back Gary Neville. It was a horror show and the lot of them should just shut the f..k up coz i personally dont want to hear their pathetic lame excuses.

i can’t believe that anybody is giving the excuse for Terry’s awful performance on Sunday as that he was playing on the right side of the centre half pairing as opposed to the left – not on here admittedly but I’ve heard & read it a few times in the last couple of days
This is a bloke who’s paid over £100grand a week to be a centre half. It aint like asking a central midfielder to play on the left wing or owt – its still centre half. Playing on the right doesn’t excuse him completely misjudging the flight of the ball from that goal kick for the first goal.
I do think Johnson is getting a bit more stick than he deserves for his performance on Sunday. Due to the absence of any wingers in that startign line up, both full backs were effectively acting as wingers & had a hell of a job to fulfill that role & act as defensive cover too. There were goals on Sunday when the German wingers were completely unmarked but that’s coz the full backs had had to drift in to the middle to cover that inept pair at centre half

I believe Terry will be placed on baby reigns for the next 2 years to make sure he stays in the back 4.
