What an absolute embarrassment some of our fans are. Booing Moses in the second half when he touched the ball. Chants of ‘let him go, let him go’. FFS. the lad is in a Latics shirt. He was our most dangerous player all afternoon and despite some suggesting otherwise put in a good performance. He came here as a young player and continues to improve year in year out. At times last season he was a cut above the rest and he will make the club a sizeable amount of cash when he goes. What exactly is the problem? Its hardly his fault that he has the Champions of Europe chasing him? Funny how nobody really had a go at mercenaries like Diame and Hugo who left the club without a penny!

Well, I’m not quite sure but I don’t think Hugo and Diame were playing today?
Moses didn’t look interested at times today imo and his final product as usual was shocking. If Chelsea still want to pay £9m for him after that then he can have a lift to London with me if he wants.
I couldn’t quite decide what could be going through his mind – but I had the feeling (and thi sis just my opinion) that he did enough to not be accused of not trying, but didn’t battle heart and soul. At times he was just walking around – but then he does that quite regularly.
Maloney, the two Jimmy Macs and Gary Caldwell had fine games, Franco ran himself to a stanstill, but I thought Boycie shaded MOTM for me.
BTW No matter what, I don’t agree with booing Moses for today’s performance. Not a good one – but not worthy of being booed. I didn’t hear anything where I was in ES7.
I was absolutely cringing when the “let him go chant” started. We even had a thread on here debating whether he should play against Chelsea because it was recognised he was in such a difficult position. He did play and he had a decent game especially considering CFC doubled/trebled up on him whenever he got the ball.
You have to question the intelligence of those booing him etc – if you were one of them – shame on you.
I am in ES2, and I can assure you it was the minority. But i think given the Chelsea interest, and Victor’s poor start, then some people would feel a tad frustrated.
I think he only came to life really after the saved attempt at the end of the first half

Well he’s not gone anywhere yet and I would have thought giving the lad some encouragement rather than booing him would have been more beneficial on all counts.
Was this the same Victor Moses that absolutely skinned 3 Chelsea defenders on one occasion, and brought a fantastic save out of Cech on another? He gave Cole an awkward afternoon.
Don’t forget, these are probably the same idiots who booed Gomez BEFORE he actually ran onto the field.
It’s about time some folk looked up the definition of ‘supporter’ I think.
Ran Ashley Cole ragged, an established international footballer for (allegedly) the 3rd best footballing country in the world. Did seem a little uninterested and a few times his heart didn’t seem in it, but if all my fans were booing and jeering me, I’d have been a disheartened too! He’s a young lad, of course he would be effected. Wingers play off confidence, there’s no chance he could perform with the crowd on his back.
People still judge Gomez however he was forced on in a very big game. All players are sluggish at the start of a season. Kone looks like he might be very impressive this season. Everyone put effort in and considering we were playing the champions of Europe I’d say there were a lot of positives to be taken.
