Much better balance with Zog on left – gave more natural width. I’d like to see that continued, and with Moses on the right. But Stam did work hard there and could be a good option away from home.
I thought we should have pressed harder on the counter at 2-0 and 2-1. A third would have won the game. We didn’t really push it with four or five really good counter attacks in second half.
Di Santo did well, but I’d still prefer Rodallega down middle for added goal threat.
Maybe hypercritical but I thought the keeper could have saved their second. He made himself a very small target. I’d have backed Kirkland more in that situation.
Overall a good point, but Match of the Day confirmed my suspicion that though we had more of the game and deserved at least a point, we didn’t create too much except for the goals. But then again, we were away, and 2-0 up.
