Now this was said post match after their last game and so does anyone know what ‘situation’ he was referring to that they conceded to? More importantly, has our gaffer noted the ‘situation’? To be honest I don’t know what he is on about because all 4 goals were different were they not?
Over 100 views and not one single reply! Might be time to jump ship I think! Looking back the site has struggled for a long time and it was only a few folk who liked a good old squabble who were keeping it afloat, albeit for all the wrong reasons! Tomorrow might only be the 4th game but we haven’t exactly set the World on alight so far and already we find ourselves in a proverbial ‘Six Pointer’ yet nobody seems to be discussing it? Donny is trying but his technique leaves a lot to be desired and he isn’t getting the bites, in fact Arky has had more bites than him and that is saying something! All credit to George and The Egg for their efforts but it would appear that this really is the death knell! The forum stats at the foot of the page tell the truth and the truth don’t look good! :(

Of course. All I ever did was try to fit in. It’s quite hard to dumb this far down for some of us
people really cant be arsed anymore the club is in decline and fans know it.The club is in decline?, are you serious bicky or just taking the pi$$?. For the love of Christ just what do you expect from the club?. You have seen it win the FA Cup and play in Europe and yes relegation but come on it was always going to happen. It was a bloody wonderful achievement we hung in there so long. Your club has written the greatest story ever told and has along with Wigan Rugby made this town a sporting phenomenon. So we are in the Championship along with some massive clubs and have had a couple of bad results but to call it decline, sorry marrer I aint having that. Give it a chance at least, not too many years ago we would have given anything to be in this division. We are Wigan Athletic and it wouldn’t be right if we didn’t go down the league a bit so we can piss all the big boys off again by coming back up again. Have faith bicky and BELIEVE ;)

Not since we were working our way up the divisions have I been a regular ‘poster’…and I did my share of ranting and certainly more of my fair share of piss taking viz a viz ‘the Rugby’…(as several articles in CL would testify)
Now maybe I’ve got fed up with it a bit and perhaps a further ten years on the clock has moderated my capacity for bile, but your post TL4eva is a pretty good example as to why I don’t engage in this level of nonsense.
As a reader I find Egg’s contributions broadly amusing and occasionally insightful … and the fact that he plays a central role in the running of this board says a great deal about how even handed and inclusive Latics fans are (and ought to be)
So he goes to both sports…so what ? Good for him, would that there were a few thousand more like him on each side and both clubs would be in a Bloody sight better state than they are today.
As for rugby fans hatred of us, we’ll I’m sure some of them do, but most of them likely don’t care one way or t’other, either way I no longer base my opinion of several thousand people on the inane outpourings of a few dozen imbeciles who vent their spleen on the message boards of rugby sites or engage in mard arse name calling on ‘The Post’ website.
Anyroad I’m equally disappointed with our start but I’m not sure how much more we could realistically expect…but it’s still half a dozen matches too soon to panic…..and it will always be too soon to be insulting a fellow supporter in the manner you just did….

You are wrong on so many levels
I reckon that if Blackpool win tomorrow there will be a chorus of boos come full time, not that I condone booing!
I’m quite ambivalent to it.
Booing at half time or during the game is counter-productive. But IF (and that’s IF in capitals) they play badly then booing is the only way to let them know. The game is over and they can think about that before the next game. We’re not putting them off – they’ve already performed badly. If you go to a concert and the band keep hitting wrong notes, or go to see a comedian who is just not funny (seen a few of them) – you boo.
I know there are people who disagree.
