I have really tried to join in with all the doom, gloom, retribution and the general “slagging off” of all things Wigan Athletic. I am finding it impossible though because I can’t stop looking to the challenges ahead and getting quite excited about them.
Who knows what fate awaits us (apart from Bickymon and Loudmouth) and how we will adapt to life back in the Championship. One thing for certain is that we will be able to watch everything unfold at a ridiculously low cost.
Life supporting Wigan Athletic has always been, and always will be, a roller coaster ride so why are people so bitter and twisted when things go against us. How can people speak ill of the men who gave us eight years in the Premier League and a historic FA Cup victory (I still can’t believe it!!).
Until recently the watch-word at Wigan was “believe” – what a joke it is when you read some of the posts on here. A roller coaster without the lows is just a rail track and if that’s what people want then there is a regular service to Old Trafford.
Sorry for being positive again; I promise to redouble my efforts to be bitter and twisted so that I can fit in better.

It’s easy, If we have played shit then don’t be afraid to criticize, That’s what fans do. Your one sided and predictable arguments are the same on every post. Just because you and Griff etc think you are braniacs doesn’t make it so. It’s easy to stick your head in a thesaurus and call people thick all the time. Griff tried it on another post but i didn’t bother then low and behold one of ‘The CL Firm’ crops up and adopts the same usual tactic. You don’t know any of us so how the fuck would you know. I would suggest the inability to see the world through anything other than rose tinted glasses is rather thick. Im just so glad i’m individual, Using my own brain to come up with my own answers and opinions, Not in a group of about 5 people telling everyone they know fuck all when they know just as much. Just because we have different views doesn’t make the person you disagree with thick. It just means they have alternative answers. Must be fantastic being right about everything, You must all be millionaires and high ranking Masons. Wish i was that clever.
Yet again, you make it easy for people to call you thick. Why do you all insist on accusing ‘us’ of always being right when we simply disagree with you? Of course we think we’re right, don’t you think you’re right? Why get upset when people don’t agree with you? Inferiority complex maybe?
Nobody thinks everything is rosy. The clever, reasonable, non-dummy throwers amongst us realise what the club/manager/team was up against trying to survive in the premier league and tried to offer support.
Clique? Not really. Just like-minded. A lot of those you accuse of being in a clique actually know each other personally. You say none of us know you – I, for one, will lose not a moment’s sleep about that.

what fate awaits us depends on a couple of huge club changing decisions
who the new manager is for a start
how many players leave and who they are in respect of quality
will the legendary war chest once more rumour to be opened
will we strengthen with quality or over the hill types
coaching staff that come in will they be able to help keep the players fit to play 90min flat out if possiblelets wait and see what owd tight arse decides ;)

1. Where have I accused you of being thick? (my one thick gybe was aimed as Wiganmon – who I don’t know, but I do believe to be thick) As it happens I don’t consider you to be thick
2. I don’t argue with facts; I argue with opinions
3. I know quite a few from this forum in the real world, and they’re all decent people
4. Have never used a thesaurus to post on a forum. If I did, then it would be a sign that I was taking things far too seriously
5. My view is far from rose-tinted. I appreciate the club’s limitations and never claimed Martinez was a fantastic manager (if you think I have, you’ve confused me with someone else). I liked what he was doing for the club but have stated that he had faults
6. I’m glad you’re glad you’re an individual. If my opinion on certain things is the same as other people’s does that mean I have to change my opinion to be individual? I think I’m the only one on this forum who would prefer Coyle to Bruce. Surely that’s individual enough

Bickymon, you are as boringly negative as I am boringly positive. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time SUPPORTING Wigan Athletic whilst you must be suffering greatly with stomach ulcers and high blood pressure.
