The national team’s structure at whatever level will get nowhere, despite the hysteria and false dawns of the gutter press, while the Premier League holds sway with its ever increasing foreign influx and the FA’s dismal failure to truly develop young players to international standard.
Building new facilities or whatever is nugatory (I suspect that word may have now made its first appearance here) if those on the pathway for development cannot gain top-level experince as their Continental peers have done. Our best young players have to play on loan in lower divisions while in Germany and Holland and elsewhere development of home grown talent is prized.
And do you know what? I don’t care. While the FA is governed as it is, the
national team can go and boil their collective incompetent heads.
Rant over (and I don’t often rant on here!).
