Can you pay at the gate for this game ? Should be a good game for the neutral !
1 January 2012 at 5:10 pm #76680If you take your boots you’ll probably get a game, never mind have to pay to get in.
1 January 2012 at 5:13 pm #76681If you take your boots you’ll probably get a game, never mind have to pay to get in.You have obviously heard about my keeping skills Griff ! I just thought it would be a decent game with it being a play-off 6 point job and a derby. There is no info on the site !!
1 January 2012 at 5:22 pm #76684I went to Southport last year and they’ll drag you off the streets to get you in.
1 January 2012 at 6:21 pm #76686on par with Milan derby that one-no chance of getting in!
1 January 2012 at 8:58 pm #76687Southport 0 Fleetwood 6. Fleetwood also had a p;ayer sent off. No doubt end to end stuff. ;)

Sorry you don’t qualify for the keepers guild…
You must have a tested 1 metre jump :)
1 January 2012 at 10:41 pm #76689I rang up to check and all was fine. £14 in stand and 2600 on ! Fleetwood had about 5 attacks in first half scoring from 3 of them as Southport had plenty of chances at the other end but their finishing was poor. Brodie walked in the 32nd min for a second yellow and sat in the stand for the 2nd half where we were sat, you don’t see that in the league ! I thought if Southport could pull one back early doors in the 2nd half they may take advantage of Fleetwood only having 10 men but when the 4th went in that was that ! It was end to end all the 2nd half with Southport further squandering chance after chance while Fleetwood were happy to soak it up and release Vardy now and again on a counter. On the whole Fleetwood stood out as the better team but the scoreline did flatter them ! A refreshing change from the diving joy boys we see week in week out in the Prem. Players that actually play for their shirt !!

Couldn’t agree more with you there Fil. Teams in the lower levels still want to play football. I’ve watched quite a few games at this level since I stopped watching premiership football and it’s restored my confidence in the game. Shame the Latics, I’ve supported since I was a kid now play in the Premier(cheater)ship. I saw the penalty for our equalizer at Stoke as a joke and I hate Stoke more than any other team in the world.

Aye, it’s right up there with naivety.
2 January 2012 at 1:47 pm #76715They’re actually not all like angels. I watched Crawley at Southport last year and they were as cheating, diving, referee-surrounding as any team I’ve seen in the PL. They got a Southport player sent off after 10 minutes for two yellows.
I agree that the way the game is played is different in the lower leagues (saw Accrington-Aldershot a month or so back) and some games are entertaining and I do like going to them. But take off the rosy specs – some of the games are also dire
2 January 2012 at 3:14 pm #76718I can only comment on what I witnessed ! I am off to the Chorley game on sat so I will let you know how that goes. Half price admission by the way if you hold a season ticket for one of the local professional clubs ! Come to think of it, on the subject of players trying to get other players booked or sent off, the Southport and Fleetwood fans were also guilty of the same thing because Southport fans kept shouting ” Yellows yellows ” and the Fleetwood fans were shouting for ” reds ” !!
2 January 2012 at 3:20 pm #76720Just thought i’d mention,Southport did me on the coupon,i had both teams to score.
