Can’t help feeling a bit sorry for them.
Were drawing 1-1 with three minutes to go which would have kept them up.
Conceded two goals in the last minutes and have been relegated.

Did you feel sorry for them when we replaced them in Div 4 ????
1 May 2011 at 10:32 pm #64446A little bit – there were other teams I would have been less sorry to go. Darlington and Hartlepool were always down there and would not have cost me one iota of concern.

they deserve it for robbing Burscough of the manager and staff.

2 May 2011 at 2:41 am #64477Well C’mon the Cod army !
Great if Fleetwood get up.
Remember playing them in the Prem and the Lancashire Floodlit Trophy; heady days !2 May 2011 at 2:51 am #64479I can remember watching Leyland Motors playing Fleetwood town back in the day in the old Northwest Counties League. I also remember the Motors playing Southport in an obscure defunct competition called the Dairy Crest Floodlit League. Still no proper Club Team in Leyland . tick tock tick tock
3 May 2011 at 1:46 am #64575I can remember when you could catch 50lb of dace from the Ribble and I also remember when the Limey was £3 a day.Now the Limey is run by a fekin carp syndicate and the cormorants have eaten all the dace.

Anyway, to get away from the Royal Wedding my Brother in Law got me a day licence and we went up to the fishing lakes near Borwick, a regular haunt of his.
Armed with a bait box of luncheon meat and sweet corn we expected the carp to be as up for it as us.
Alas the carp weren’t interested ad four hours later we moved pitches as we hadn’t even had a bite.
With the new location on a smaller lake 2 hours later I had a tally of two Barbel, two Golden Tench and a sizeable Perch, but again the Carp were elusive.
Maybe we’ll have better luck with the Carp next Bank Holiday.3 May 2011 at 2:42 am #64580I can remember watching Leyland Motors playing Fleetwood town back in the day in the old Northwest Counties League.
