special train has been laid on for our lodgers today
      a railway spokesman reveals why
whe were advised by both police and environment agency to do so
the police advised us to remove the three seat system and replace with just one xxxxl seat so as to fit the wurriors fans comfortably
also it would not be fair for genuine rail traveller’s to be squashed and stampeded on
the environment agency stated it had to be done for personal hygiene reasons
has the stench would be too bad for the genuine rail traveller to cope with
after its use the rail carriages can be destroyed rather than pay heavily to clean and fumigate

i believe wurriors play leeds in the south lancs west yorks challenge cup

jealous about playing in huddersfield town fc’s stadium in yorkshire in front of banks of empty seats for a semi – final, in a pointless cringe worthy village game with stupid names!!!!!!!!!!!!

i’m sure we care, when we are looking forward to playing the champions of europe on the 1st day of our season.

good luck to them all the same, just hope the manage to sell more tickets for wembley (12k empty seats last season, even though they are on sale all year and open for EVERY club’s fans to buy !!!!!!!

Surely you must take that post as a tongue in cheek jibe?

The jealousy my friend is all on your shoulders with that reaction. B) :P

can i just say commiserations to our lodgers who wear the same colors as stoke….losing in front of empty stands is becoming common place in rugger league now…….no wonder their sport is seen by many in this country as a “joke” sport…………..they’ll be able to come and join us in Southampton on that weekend now and watch a game that people have heard of and interested in….!

(anybody spot the inflatable football that made an appearance on the pitch? haha quality, it came from the leeds end as the worryers wouldn’t even think of touching a wendyball)

12k for a semi final and appalling tv coverage by the bbc (and i only saw bout 5 mins of it) it was like they couldn’t be bothered to talk about it. i really fear for rugger league as a whole, it’s going absolutely nowhere and has no money coming in to it.

NOT THAT I GIVE A FLYER OFF COURSE (pay back for the 80’s dear old maurice)

                goodbye

Although I am no real fan of theirs I equally don’t really care enough.

But, if you want a prediction that you can come back to me and laugh at – although I may not be around by then – then here we go for ten years down the line.

Wigan Warriors will be owned by a foreign consortium (I don’t think rugby will avoid this when all the football teams have been bought out foreign investors will look to other sports) BUT they will be in or working their way towards admission to the Rugby Union Premiership.

Rugby League will be a diminishing sport (I’m not going to get into the discussions that this is already happening) while Rugby Union will grow as a commercial sporting venture – still behind football but sufficient for economic investment, unlike RL with its limited geographical interest.

Rugby Union will grow in importance and Wigan Warriors (and maybe Leeds) will cash in on that. As Rugby Union sides.

That’ll happen the day pigs fly GL. We may well start up a second club like Leeds already have (Leeds Carnegie) but Wigan RLFC will always exist be it Professional or Amateur.

Also, I’m not sure HTFC own the Galpharm in the same way WAFC don’t own the DW.

poor mans rugger union (rugby league) is on it’s size 18 arris. no defending, excuses, blinkered myths etc………the only idiots who cant see this fact are worryers fans.

Huddersfield town FC have 1st refusal on THEIR stadium.
We (wafc) will dictate when and where our lodgers play, whether it be widnes or else where………..i’ll give you all a clue.DW translatiion D ave Whelan stadium (owner of wigan athletic and seller of a pointless rugger league team that will join rugby in the near future.

we say jump, worryers and donny lonigan says how high and where

UNDERSTAND BITTER, NOW WHERE’S THAT 4,309 IN LONDON AGAIN?????????????????

If you speak to most rugby fans they’ll admit the sport is in the shit that’s why there are several threads a day started on msg boards about how to make the game better.

From talking to folk down sarf they tell me rugby league is seen has a old fashioned NORTHERN sport(wippets flat caps etc)! And Rugby League needs to shed this image before they would even dream of watching it never mind playing it! Rugby on the other hand is the media darling and is seen has cool to play! Its a shame really has my school played both codes and i preferred league but union has the money, media and the right image!

Seeing as they didn’t win the cup last season and thus profit from the prize money and added merchandise sales of ‘cup winners’ branded items, why would they?
