24 July 2012 at 1:00 am #90589poor mans rugger union (rugby league) is on it’s size 18 arris. no defending, excuses, blinkered myths etc………the only idiots who cant see this fact are worryers fans.
Huddersfield town FC have 1st refusal on THEIR stadium.
We (wafc) will dictate when and where our lodgers play, whether it be widnes or else where………..i’ll give you all a clue.DW translatiion D ave Whelan stadium (owner of wigan athletic and seller of a pointless rugger league team that will join rugby in the near future.we say jump, worryers and donny lonigan says how high and where
UNDERSTAND BITTER, NOW WHERE’S THAT 4,309 IN LONDON AGAIN?????????????????
Eeeerm again a Latic’s fan makes an arse of himself. Why even bother about rugby on a football message board in the first place, But to mock support on a Sunday match in London is laughable. Can i just point you to Tottenham away and any F.A or League cup match in the last 3 years.

Why even bother about rugby on a football message board
erm maybe because it’s in the non football section

ffs please don’t tell me your making excuses for the PATHETIC turnout for rugger league’s one and only top flight london side
heard it all know – this was a top flight rugger league game, stop making excuses, big soup league is dying on it’s primark covered arris
end of story
24 July 2012 at 2:42 am #90603If you speak to most rugby fans they’ll admit the sport is in the shit that’s why there are several threads a day started on msg boards about how to make the game better.
Wigan did’nt hang about saying they lost £250 grand not makein it to Wembley, did Huddersfield go on about it.or any other teams who dont make the Wembley trip.just a thought thats all folks.
Seeing as they didn’t win the cup last season and thus profit from the prize money and added merchandise sales of ‘cup winners’ branded items, why would they?
Tha cant rely on that ‘money’ year in year out,ya remember what happened in the old days when you depended on the winning money off both trophies.Defeat to a certain Shefield Eagles then the sh@t did hit the fan goodstlye.
24 July 2012 at 3:24 am #90604Nowhere have they said they were relying on it. They’ve simply said that the accounts will be approx £250k down on last year. That is stone wall fact. The one thing that would make that less would be winning the GF (simply getting there isn’t worth as much as getting to Wembley).

RL isn’t big in Landun and never will be especially in the shadows of Rugby Union HQ. The bulk of that crowd will have been Wigan fans.
24 July 2012 at 3:46 am #90606Anonymous
well that makes it even worse then mr egg. that crowd is low enough but if the worryers have a decent turnout down there, then that is truly shocking for london’s only rugger league team. what is the point in having a team down there then??????
stick to dewsbury or batley i think, they have heard of rugger league up there
24 July 2012 at 3:48 am #90607Anonymous
Some rugger league fan in our work (only 3 of them in total) said that leeds only got around £75K for winning the grand final?????
surely that’s a joke right?
24 July 2012 at 4:10 am #90608Probably not no. You get paid out on your league position and then receive extra for the playoffs afaik

£75K will not even cover the hotel bill for an away match
25 July 2012 at 5:27 pm #90649Anonymous
A well known irish bookie has opened a book on the excuses the worryer’s will use for their predicted low turnout this weekend. Even though top of their league and in a so called town where only rugger league matters(according to belgian/cockney bradley W):-
1/3 – Olympic opening ceremony
evens – It’s dave whelan’s fault
2/1 – The ticket i was given was for a blue seat in the springfield stand
4/1 – I refuse to enter the DW as it carry’s the name of wigan athletic’s owner above the door
8/1 – On summer holiday so couldn’t make it
other selected odd’s
25/1 – Didn’t like the pies last time, so boycotting like we did at hull away (over being charged £23)!
33/1 – Meeting owd bert for a game of “bowin” darn’t legion
40/1 – I’ll wait till the play offs as league games are pointless
1000/1 – Super league has lost it’s appeal, so watching premier league instead.
Odd’s to you supplied a very well know irish bookie
WE HEAR YOU TESCO TUBBER’S
25 July 2012 at 6:42 pm #90651£75K will not even cover the hotel bill for an away matchA £75k hotel bill? Which hotels do you stay at?
£75k would cover them for ten seasons’ worth of hotel stays.
26 July 2012 at 12:06 am #90654I’ll have a tenner on “it’s the mrs’ best friends 30th birthday meal” cos thats why im not going.
