I was never old enough to experience Springfield Park, so I had to go for the DW. Frankly, I’d be a lot happier if one day we have our own stadium (again), but with the size of Wigan I have no idea where the egg chasers would move to.

Get off the bandwagon.

Oh come on Griff, you’re just being Under-35-ist again8 June 2010 at 3:39 pm #36273I have no preference really. I had more laughs at Springfield Park, cos I used to go with my mates from School and suprisingly for that era there were quite a few of us.
The DW is good because of all the promotions and seeing us play Premier League footie and it arguably looks better. However I used to love going watching Latics at Springy and it was the first Stadium I ever went to. It’s probably all nostalgia but as ApplyBridgeBlue said “It was a dump but it was our dump”.

Meant to write “on the eye” as well, I do so much cutting and pasting to get my posts away from the eye of the Grammar Gestapo that in my haste I may have cut too much. Apologies.

You copy and paste you’re sentances so that you’re grammar is right?

Copying and pasting someone else’s grammar and spelling, that is.

11 June 2010 at 12:39 am #36843Why do so many threads end up miles away from the original question ?
Petty nonsense creeps in with people trying to get one over on each other, childish. -
