Would Figgy want to move to a team that is in the same sort of pecking order as us, maybe in a worse position than us???
Sunderland had a decent run of results early on, but aren’t really setting anything on fire right now, maybe that is due to injuries/squad depth, but either way why make a sideways step at best. Surely if these players were wanting to move, it would be to further their career!
Players don’t move to further their careers, they move for money. I would imagine Figueroa is on crap wages at Latics, remember he was given a contact before he became an established team member. I reckon big face will be willing to at least double his wage, if not more.That’s why he will go. League position means nowt if there is more dosh in it for them.
