Can’t remember Ali having to do too much today, good performance which yet again deserved more than what we got.
If only the fish had made better contact.
3 April 2011 at 3:47 am #62836I know he’s currently the crowd’s favorite but I’m going to be a bit controversial here and say that in my humble opinion (obviously), Conor Sammon is, at best, a Championship player. He reminds me very much of Caleb Folan. Having said that I wish the man well and hope he proves me wrong.

Not writing him off exactly but in that 40 minutes I can’t say I’ve seen anything to suggest he’s going to prove me wrong. I hope he makes me eat my words.3 April 2011 at 10:29 am #62842connor reminds me of phil daley not the greatest of touches and a bit raw but puts himself about and has loads of enthusiasm, makes great runs and will do for me.
3 April 2011 at 1:36 pm #62845connor reminds me of phil daley not the greatest of touches and a bit raw but puts himself about and has loads of enthusiasm, makes great runs and will do for me.He makes good runs is quite quick and certainly causes problems with his physical presence. He also seems to have the ability to make good runs and gets in very good positions.
The question is can he finish????? he has shown enough to suggest he could be a good signing
3 April 2011 at 1:37 pm #62846From what I have seen of Sammon he has passion and is willing to work hard for the team. If the rest of the squad had the same commitment as him we wouldnt be in the position we are

I’ve been very impressed with him already. He was a budgies away from getting us a point against City. The pass against Spurs that Di Santo could / should have scored from was pure quality. Against Brum I thought he gave us a massive boost. Before he came on Roger Johnson was strolling around like he was Bobby Moore , then suddenly Sammon was pulling him out wide and knocking him off the ball and it was game on.
I have a feeling that when he gets one goal he’ll go on to get a few , he certainly pops up in goalscoring positions.

4 April 2011 at 11:44 am #62906One thing to be said for us, after losing 9-1 and 3-0 last season against the world champions spurs…… beating them over 2 games 1-0 and not conceeding, youahve to be proud of the lads.

What do you suggest an open top bus round the town so we can show them how proud we are of them and the manager
4 April 2011 at 4:47 pm #62931Apologies for being positive about a half decent result and turn around for the fans in 12 months…
It must be a sh*thole of a mind you live in looking for the negatives for everything in life.

What turn around for the fans???? We are worse this year than last and two results do not make a season. So may be my sh*thole of a mind as you put it is not completely empty as yours must be if you honestly believe the bollox you posted.
