This may sound fanciful and an optimist looking at the fixture list, but we must surely have a great chance of doing the double over Spurs.
Following their Champions League progress they will play the first leg of their quarter-final on the Tuesday or Wednesday after our league game.
Bearing in mind how excited the cockerneys will be looking forward to that game, they might take their eyes off the ball…………….
11 March 2011 at 2:28 pm #61847AnonymousI think they will do and think we will beat them. Two wins on the trot coming up boys :)
Didn’t they have a CL match coming up when we beat them last time aswell? Or had they just played one i remember it was one of the two11 March 2011 at 2:51 pm #61850Think they had just beat Young Boys (oh er) in the CL qualifier the Weds before we played em
11 March 2011 at 11:42 pm #61862You could have used a better phrase than “take their eyes off the ball” Swindon, we are the best in the business at doing it usually at the worst possible moment. Dont see us getting anything out of the Spuds game with their attacking options tho i hope im wrong.

12 March 2011 at 2:39 am #61869Fair enough if you want to endorse negativity Yosser, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but did you really have to slap that awful smiley on aswell??
Never mind the fact that it really wasn’t that good a post…12 March 2011 at 10:05 am #61876Now they’ve had a sniff of what its like to be in the Champions League later stages, they’ll be desperate for a repeat performance. To get that, they need to keep winning games, particularly against sides they should put away in their sleep.
I cant see anything coming the Latics way in this game (and the one after) other than a defeat. At best a plucky defeat.
Latics will still be bottom of the pile come 16 April and the trip to Blackpool – thats when the season starts!
12 March 2011 at 5:40 pm #61879Latics seem to pull off better performances when playing the ilk of spurs, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we beat them after another dissappointing draw with brum after battering them.

Never mind the fact that it really wasn’t that good a post…It is not an opinion nob nose it is fact. 1 out of 10 for your attention seeking post. Nobody latched onto it and backed you, unlucky.
12 March 2011 at 8:33 pm #61889Yosser, I’ve read both your smiley post and Nuneaton’s original post and neither actually contains a fact.
FACT!
12 March 2011 at 8:45 pm #61891Everyone getting over zealous and the season starts here bollox and all the rest of the cobblers we have heard for 2 seasons. Wigan Athletic are the best in the business at taking their eyes off the ball. Look at the league table FACT, Unlike Mr. Whelan i know that we are bottom because we are crap not unlucky.
12 March 2011 at 9:01 pm #61892I’ve just checked the rules and apparently you don’t lose points for taking your eye off the ball.
I think that’s a fact.
12 March 2011 at 9:07 pm #61893Petty and ridiculous, Not entertaining you tonight, Have you tried alcohol, sex or socializing yet. You should try one of them, Make you feel better and give you less reason for you to feel the need to try and prove that you are intellectually better than everyone else.
I hope i run into you one day, Would be funny (that isn’t a threat or an offer btw) Im sure you are clever enough to work that out.

Sometimes I just get pedantic mate, and incorrect use of the word “fact” is one of the things that really winds me up. Don’t take it personally.
Maybe I should get out more, but then I’d just run more risk of running into the likes of you. ;) Can’t think how there would be anything funny about meeting you. I haven’t read anything at all from you, ever, that even hints that you might have anything remotely approaching a sense of humour.
Or intellect.
12 March 2011 at 9:24 pm #61896I live on my sense of humour, Problem is im opinionated about football and am very easy to get a bite from.
