I’ve just had a look on the official site and was quite surprised that tickets for the Spurs game are £20, not bad at all, I expected them to be £28 the same as the Everton game, well done Wigan for keeping prices realistic with it being on TV.
A mate of mine from Ashton came into the pub before last nights game, saying that nowhere from Ashton to the stadium was there any kind of advert to promote the game, the only time I can recall seeing adverts was when there was the 3 games for a tenner promotion. The rugby seem to advertise a lot more than we do, any idea why ?

Our marketing department have not reported back from Barbados yet
19 February 2010 at 11:33 am #23175It is strange but from my recollection the football season starts every year in August and goes through to May. Anyone who wants to go to watch a game, or has ever watched a game knows how to find out about games/times etc it isnt difficult. Advertising would help but not much.
Maybe if we started winning a few games and creating better atmospheres at games then people would come back, over the last 5 years in the prem we have bottled/fluffed virtually every major game, so all the floating fans that do come along dont want to come back.

19 February 2010 at 11:47 am #23179In a peverse way I don’t think I want any extra fans on top of what we’ve got now! I brought my American mate to his first football match the other night and was embarrassed at what we saw, needless to say my job of getting him to come to another game this season has become quite difficult!

19 February 2010 at 3:05 pm #23194Try calling the ticket office and they allow you to pick up, seems to work when I have tried it
