whats your opinions on the starting 11 and the formation we should play for the semi final ? stick to the question dont start arguing about rugby or a bobly pitch
McArthur brings a more stable midfield – which helps both attack and defence. Di Santo has had a rest – I’d be happy to see him re-appear over the next few games. He was building a good understanding with Kone.
There are good reports of Al Habsi, but I guess that Martinez will stick with Robles as long as Wigan are winning. McManaman has shown that he can offer an alternative when required.

I think Callum could run riot against Millwall TBH.
You can’t consider the game in isolation. The really big game is against QPR on Sunday. Then we have the semi-final on Saturday followed by the away match at Manchester City on Wednesday.
If everyone is fit, should Martinez select the same side for all three matches, or should he use his squad to spread the load? Martinez should play his best team against QPR. Which is tougher opposition – Millwall or Manchester City? Should Martinez play for a win against Manchester City? Where should he put his greatest resources?
Wigan and Manchester City must both get over the emotion of the semi final – whether they win or lose – before they meet the following Wednesday. It could be a rehearsal for the Cup Final, or a game between two disappointed teams.
And I do expect the semi final to be a hard-fought game, with Millwall playing a hard physical game. I don’t want to see anyone injured. Perhaps the semi final would be a good opportunity for McManaman to show that he can control both the ball and his enthusiasm. But the right-hand side of Wigan – McManaman, Boyce and Scharner – clearly didn’t click on Saturday.
Millwall 0 Blackburn Rovers 0 Jack Pitt-Brooke in The Independent
Rob Hulse’s elbow collided with Scott Dann, meaning the Blackburn defender had to play most of the game with bandages around his forehead. This was by no means a unique incident.
Appleton was aggrieved, though, especially after Shane Lowry’s bad tackle on Bentley early in the second half, for which he was booked. Rovers substitute Bradley Orr then went off with a suspected cracked rib and struggling to breathe after a fierce challenge with Danny Shittu.
Blackburn were not entirely innocent – both sides were over-enthusiastic in their tackling – and four Rovers players were booked to Millwall’s three. There will not be many games this season with quite this many fouls. Millwall conceded 19 and Blackburn 14 as two sides – both lacking in form and confidence – struggled to find any rhythm.

It will be silk against steel on the weekend of 13/14 April: Roberto Martinez’s elegant passing game against the physical defensive presence of a side subtly inspired by the quiet man, Kenny Jackett, Martinez’s predecessor at Swansea City.
Wigan will have their work cut out. Millwall have only conceded one goal in this season’s FA Cup and Jackett has imbued them with a rare spirit.

I’d agree with that. Maybe Di Santo for Gomez as a sub to change things.
Millwall are having a modest revival. They are tighter at the back but still struggle to score.
Millwall 0 Ipswich 0
Ipswich have scored the least goals of any Championship side, but have now only conceded one goal in seven matches, while Millwall kept their fifth successive clean sheet.
So a goal-less draw was predictable!
The fouls count remains high; Millwall 15 Ipswich 17 Total 32. That’s just one less than the Blackburn cup tie. Millwall players booked – 3. Millwall come behind Bolton and Sheffield Wednesday in the Disciplinary Table.

I’d be tempted to put Gomez in for McArthur and put Callum up front. Big pitch for Gomez to spread the ball about and Plenty of running in Callum.
And would you make any changes for the Wednesday game against Manchester City?
City have a day less between matches but a vast squad to choose from.
It’s a tricky balance, but Martinez now has a squad to choose from. McArthur has come on for McManaman in the last two games and turned them into wins.
I think I might start the Everton line-up at Wembley, and swap McArthur and Di Santo for McManaman and Gomez against Manchester City.
