Fatties on it for the first time in a few months and what a mess already !
Questionable whether the match should have gone ahead6 February 2016 at 12:11 am #147030It’s a disgrace isn’t it what the Latics have done to the shared pitch. The Warriors should complain as they pay the same rental costs and contribute so much more in terms of profits.
6 February 2016 at 12:37 am #147031Someone’s going to claim overtime getting it right for the Tics that’s shocking the one thing i will say its not churning up YET.

Questionable whether the match should have gone aheadThat’s the downside of sharing a pitch with a rugby club. Had it been football the game would have not have taken place. Same pitch but different rules.
6 February 2016 at 1:09 am #147035And with a total of five home games for both teams before end of Feb it’ll be like a mud bath by end if month…. Hardly surprising with amount of rain we’ve had over the last few months!
6 February 2016 at 1:36 am #147038Hardly surprising when a winter sports pitch is played on in summer and not rested maintained and nurtured in the summer. But that’s the price to be paid when your owner has a soft spot for a Rugby club who had to sell their ground to pay off debts that paid for their rosey years. We just have to live with it.
I just wonder if in the past a Chubbies owner would have invited us if they had built a stadium and then offered Latics a lifeline and offered us a home even if we had turned down their hospitality and charity down over and over again.
Hopefully if they piss off to their first choice stadium in Horwich we will see a pitch like many clubs play on these days.6 February 2016 at 2:31 am #147040That football pitch was ruined after 20 minutes, what do you expect with 20 odd overweight lycra clad egg chasers rolling about on it?
Worst thing we ever did renting the stadium out to them lot!
Fuck the EFL
6 February 2016 at 2:43 am #147041Young Mr Sharpe allegedly doesn’t have the same affection for the peanut huggers that his grand papa has.
Perhaps when Big Dave eventually ends up in some exclusive care home in Barbados, with bodily fluids erupting from every orifice, Big Dave the Younger, may fire the tworts off. :cheer:From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!6 February 2016 at 12:10 pm #147043It was ****** before kick off
6 February 2016 at 1:14 pm #147044It was ****** before kick offBollux, the stadium has been emitting an orange glow since the last home game. Those grass growing enhancing machines don’t half do a good job.
Did you go to the U18’s game?, it looked like it had been played on but was generally OK.
Saw clips from the game last night on SSN and it looked a mud bath. With the amount of rain we’ve had, the pitch needs the latics away week to recover. Unfortunately it won’t get that time now. :(

What a journey!6 February 2016 at 1:26 pm #147045Don’t forget the 4 extra league games and all those Johnstone’s Paint trophy games that are played on it too these days.
On the bright side, at least the massive flags get a week off now.
6 February 2016 at 2:06 pm #147047This is the warmup
Attachments:6 February 2016 at 2:59 pm #147048No doubts about it when big dave has gone young sharpy will get rid of these cuckoos from the nest and the chorley bowton horwich preston wurriors can go play there
6 February 2016 at 3:25 pm #147049Of course he will. I take it that Dave Sharp will be inheriting enough money to pay compensation for the tearing up of the remaining 43 years on the lease to use the DW. I take it as well, that the income generated by WAFC will be enough to sustain the ground on its own. Bearing in mind you lost £4 million last year with PL parachute payments and the fat egg chasing cuckoos paying rent, then Whelan’s money would last you around 10 years if you received no rent. I suppose it would be nice for you all to see 35 year old Mr Sharp living in a 3 bed semi in Beech Hill, driving a white van, having sp**ked his inheritance on keeping a few 1980s Neanderthals happy.
Welcome to the real world….
6 February 2016 at 4:27 pm #147051See you in The Championship next season Makem. That pitch will suit Big Fat Sam. Sunderland’s debts will take a lot of servicing then. I can smell another Bolton but Sunderland will end up worse off than Wanky because The Makems owners will want their money back.
