Jesus wept, you’d think someone had died.
I wish I had about £20m behind me and agonised over what I was going to do next.
3 January 2015 at 2:40 am #137700And it made the headlines on news at Ten…. Obviously the 12month extension Liverpool offered him didn’t pay him as much as the states will. Very good player but amazed at the hype around his decision.
3 January 2015 at 2:52 am #137702And it made the headlines on news at Ten….That’s what pushed me over the edge to post Jimmy. Been on the radio and TV all day. Sure, a great player is coming to the end but surely ‘agony’ is not an appropriate word to be using to associate and to compare his plight with many of the Great British public. It’s verging on politically incorrect…
3 January 2015 at 3:35 am #137705Hands up everyone on here who has the same number of Premier League winners medals as Stevie G.
3 January 2015 at 3:37 am #137706@Stevie G.
Ensure you won’t ever have to play against Liverpool by signing for a club in the Champions League.
3 January 2015 at 4:15 am #137709Hands up everyone on here who has the same number of Premier League winners medals as Stevie G.Can they not find find him a role at the club for possibly the greatest ever Liverpool legend?. As a complete neutral I would love to see him stay at LFC in some capacity. Would certainly put Wayne “once a blue always a blue” Rooney to shame  .
3 January 2015 at 1:32 pm #137714Gerard has been quite a good player. Legend yes to the LFC fans but loyal servant not quite. I seem to remember him a couple of times holding the club to ransom over contracts and threatening to leave if he didn’t get his own way. Justifies one thing that motivates these greedy men is money and more money. A loyal servant who loved his club and City wouldn’t leave it just to add a few more million in the bank, would they? Well I suppose they would. They always have done and allways will do.Greed is the motivator.

Very true. Believe he has signed a four year deal with LA Galaxy? There’s an extra few million quid for him to agonise over me thinks..
On a footballing note, his passing of the ball has been pretty average over the last few years. One pool fan mentioned this to me season before we got relegated so watched him when we played them at our place. A lot of his attempted passes did go a stray and in games I’ve watched since he can be consistent with this. Should be interesting to see how he gets on in the states.
