Due to work cr@p, I have a wasted ticket for the Wolves game and also couldn’t go last night. So I had to listen for snippets on Radio 5 on how the games were going.
Is it me in thinking that NOTHING is more stressful than when you’re clinging on to a decent result, the radio is commentating on a different game and you’ve no idea what’s really going on?
My Wife, kids and even the dog were staying well clear.
I remember many years in the lower leagues, living in Scotland you hardly even got a mention on the radio… so had to resort to watching teletex updats, waiting for the page to move to 4 of 5 to see if there was an update….. them were the stressful days before the internet !
Oh the sitting and staring at the Teletext page – remember it well! I used to do that even when the internet was invented for midweek games I couldn’t get to. What a sad individual I am.
In fact last night I had Five Live on in the kitchen and Sky Sports News on in the living room and was stood between the two rooms!
