I made the long haul up to Sunderland and I thought we held our own in the 1st half but 2nd half we we dreadful well below par.

Max Powers long throw?, I noticed they all just about made it to the edge of the six yard box. Sunderland sussed this and marked it well.
So why tf did he or the manager say, mix it up, go short or back etc ?. It’s little things like that that all add up in a game.

Personally I thought Power was poor, Wyke for me isn’t playing well and McCleans age and a tougher League is starting to show but the manager is loyal or scared to drop him.

I’m not pointing the finger at these 3 Saturday because that 2nd half no one played well.

My biggest criticism is, no pace no width. These forwards need players to get in behind rather than recieving the ball with their backs to goal.

We have players in the squad who can offer this but the manager prefers not to play with width or pace. Sunderland stepped it up in the 2nd half and to me it looked like we were attempting to hold on to a win then draw, both failed miserably.

Agree …..Aasgaard is one of a few flair players we have, the rest are solid workers. When we need that bit a ability to unlock teams we unfortunately are seriously lacking. I like Cousins but he isn’t one of the aforementioned and like Nyambe is injury prone. We were easily 2nd best in 2nd half and this lack of width/pace is frustrating.
