We have passed the £155,000 mark now, but donations have really slowed down this last day or so. Today for instance just £300 has been pledge so far.
We have had donations from 3408 people. When you take into account many of those might not even be Latics fans, that is not a great return. We have 8000 season ticket holders, and about 10,000 stay away fans from the PL days, these people need to somehow be made aware of this appeal.
Everyone doesn’t use social media, so we need to get this link to everywhere we can to make people see it. £150,000 is a fantastic amount of money, but only a fraction of what is needed to keep us going. Get the message out the best you can, donate what you can, and hopefully together we will save our brilliant football club.https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/official-wigan-athletic-football-club-fundraiser/backers?page=1#start
14 July 2020 at 6:24 pm #187921Absolutely Horc. Anyone who is running their oen fundraiser please use the multiplier link on the site to add the funds directly to our account.
If you have any ideas on how to raise funds then you can email secretary@wiganathleticsupportersclub.co.uk to discuss.
14 July 2020 at 9:32 pm #187942Personally, my fiancée would do her nut if she knew how many times I’ve donated, I’ll have to wait until pay day until I can give anymore. I do agree though that even with our modest amount of season ticket holders we should have a bit more in the pot. There’s a few former players and manager who owe their careers to Latics. I’d like to think they’d chip in as well.

I keep seeing your name coming up Phil, well done mate, a true tic through and through. I am also waiting untill pay day until I dig deep again.
14 July 2020 at 10:44 pm #187950Same goes to you horc as well. I suppose those who can and want to give are probably maxed out until their own paydays.
We seem to be very popular with Fulham fans who have been extremely generous, I hope their team is feeling generous next week too.14 July 2020 at 11:16 pm #187952Same goes to you horc as well. I see you couldn’t wait until pay day Phil. There are plenty better off fans than you and me who could be digging into their pockets.I think I’ll have a brick in Jimmys wall and a couple of stickers on pay day.
16 July 2020 at 11:40 pm #187990I need five bricks on Jimmys wall – One under my CL username, one under my vital username, one with LHL as the ‘Famous Two Man Kop’, one under my real name and last but certainly not least one in the memory of my Dad (RIP) who introduced me to this fantastic club over 50 years ago.
17 July 2020 at 8:42 am #187997How much will all that cost?
17 July 2020 at 8:50 am #187998Depends what option he chooses.

Having sat near him and LHL for many years thoough, I can confirm there is nothing famous about the two man kop
17 July 2020 at 9:48 am #187999There’s a lot of history in that kop
17 July 2020 at 12:24 pm #188000My boss is a Newcastle fan, he donated. On the wall subject how do you choose what to write on your brick?
17 July 2020 at 12:40 pm #188001You will be contacted closer to the time on that dnr

ONE LIFE ONE LOVE ONE WIGAN ATHLETICKeep seeing your name pop up Ste. You and Edwards are keeping the fund ticking over nicely. I’ve just ordered a t shirt from the Supporters Club and a sticker. Hopefully I’ll get a couple of Jimmys bricks in the next week or two before the wife realises how much I’ve donated.
For anyone who hasn’t donated yet, please do so, we need every penny.https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/official-wigan-athletic-football-club-fundraiser#start
