8 October 2020 at 7:06 pm #189684So can this delicate wine wash down a pie barm or does it best complement an olive & Parmesan pate on a bed of basil & rocket?
20 October 2020 at 3:39 pm #189773Already breathing in anticipation of tonight’s win, is Carmenere !
A grape variety that disappeared from Bordeaux in the late 19th century and has amazingly been re-discovered in Chile during the new millennium.
Let’s hope that by 9:00pm tonight, I am writing my tasting notes and not having to resort to Vin de Table; like the last two games.Up the Tics
23 October 2020 at 4:50 pm #189782The Carmenere went back in the cellar.
I’m not tempting fate tomorrow; so I’ll get the brown ale out instead !!!24 October 2020 at 5:36 pm #189787What do you drink when we draw?

Well tonight, it was plan B: a nice Negroamaro from Puglia ! It feels better, just being out of the bottom four !
As for Puglia, I remember Jamie Oliver being on TV about 2 years ago; almost claiming that he had single handed discovered the delights of Puglia. You know what Jamie, I nearly sent you my T shirt: been there, done that, year before you
25 October 2020 at 12:17 pm #189789Its doing the rounds this morning that Darren Royle is preparing a consortium if the Spanish bid goes tits up!
Don’t know if this would be good or bad thing for us after the Royles track record over the past couple of years, make your own minds up on that one.
Fuck the EFL

30 October 2020 at 5:03 pm #189820Well it’s that time of the week when the important business of sorting the weekend’s booze needs to be done.
Anyone any tips for drinking if we win, lose or draw?30 October 2020 at 5:19 pm #189821Well it’s that time of the week when the important business of sorting the weekend’s booze needs to be done.
Anyone any tips for drinking if we win, lose or draw?Things are bad enough of late without waking up Sunday morning with a bloody hangover, that said….I will be having a few when we finally get the new owners on board.
I’ve got a case of San Miguel and a bottle of Jamesons on standby, hope they’re not out of date by then.
