I have to be honest, if they would offer us something like 6 million, PLUS Tuncay, I would snatch their hand off.
It’s not that Hugo’s a bad player, he’s not. The problem lies in where do we play him? On the left? I think this gives us a bit of an ‘un-balanced’ formation. Surely Moses would be a better, and possibly ideal option?
So if Rodallega was to go, it might be more down to him not fitting in with our formation. I think he’s a decent striker, and could do a good job for most sides. But he’d have to play as a central striker, and in our system, Roberto has already said that he is not the player to play the lone forward role.
Yet you feel that Tuncay, if he came, would offer us better flexibility, and would be able to play that role, or offer a better supporting role to Boselli.
These next few days could be interesting. A big signing like Tuncay would be splendid, if completed in time for the kit launch. And I’m sure that Whelan said we were hoping to complete a ‘big name signing’ a week or two ago.
Hadn’t read this when I posted on an the transfer thread about it.
Only thing to amend is that I would probably be happy with less than £6m, plus Tuncay. Don’t reckon Rodallega’s worth much more that £6m on his own.
