Thomas and Fig banned… Mccarthy, Moses injured… Di Santo a doubt. Any word on Cleverley is he ok? Also Boyce… think hes been missed.
Al Habsi
Stam Caldwell Alcaraz Gahouri
Diame Watson
Cleverley Gomez Nzogbia
RodallegaPossibly Mccarthur for Gomez then swop his position with Watsons?
Any other ideas?
Also gonna go for 2-1 latics Rodallega 1st goal.
17 December 2010 at 12:13 pm #53431Lets take the full backs for starters – our regular backs are out, under normal circs with the quality of the Villa wingers you may well think we will struggle in this area
But with Fig tending to go awol and the way Stam dealt with Bale – it may not turn out to be too bad, so looking on the positive side
Midfield for me the key to this one
17 December 2010 at 12:22 pm #53434Don’t think that will be too far away from the team that starts. We don’t have a lot of choice, do we?
17 December 2010 at 4:29 pm #53445I think the team that Left Peg posted will be the team that plays tomorrow
17 December 2010 at 4:54 pm #53447Oops what was I thinking – getting ahead of myself being positive earlier
Must re address that – Gohouri lacks pace and Stam tends to go awol as well
Thats better

Im agreeing here, for me the worst 2 regulars we have are out, Gohouri looked very comfy at LB, be interesting this one. See if they can get 3 points and show martinez there is more depth
17 December 2010 at 7:18 pm #53458While we have a lot of players out, we must surely look at tomorrow’s game as a good chance to pick up three points, despite our woeful record against Villa in the last three years.
Villa’s players have the hump with Houllier and they will be missing their fair share of players tomorrow too, including Ashley Young who is their answer to N’Zogbia.
I just can’t see this being a game that Heskey is going to be up for either. He’ll feel guilty if he scores against us and will probably bask in the good reception our fans give him.
If we can get up for this game and get three points it could turn our season around.
They are all ‘must win’ games, but this is one of the most important. In fact we should dub this a “Save Our Season” game!

Watson.. Haha  The fact his name is anywhere near an actual premiership teams line-up makes me laugh, Pathetic
17 December 2010 at 10:44 pm #53465So James C you laugh at Watson being in team but not at Gomez?!
Macarther did well against Everton when he came on for Thomas so I think he will start before Gomez.17 December 2010 at 10:49 pm #53467So James C you laugh at Watson being in team but not at Gomez?!

I have never seen you play but I doubt that you are better than Watson. We dont really see this quality that Gomez posses very often do we?17 December 2010 at 11:19 pm #53471Anonymous

You being sniffing Gloy glue, he is getting far to much stick.Watch the games back, he hasn’t been playing that bad.
