Hopefully no changes please.
12 December 2017 at 2:01 am #164086Hopefully no changes please.Paul Cook has said there will be changes but not wholesale changes ala Accrington.
12 December 2017 at 2:05 am #164087I’m going for Power, Perkins, Bruce and Toney to start ……. dunno who’ll go out Evans, Powell (injured), Burn & ???? ?
Just hope we can get a few in the net before they put 9 players in the 6 yard box, like last time.

Well whoever we put out from the first team squad should win but Christ please not Toney. I suppose he wants to rest some ahead of Saturday. Maybe doesn’t want to risk injury. After Saturdays borefest and if it was really necessary to make changes the ones I would drop rather than rest are Burn, Colclough, James and Jacobs as everyone of them were guilty of some really sloppy passing and distribution and were below par.12 December 2017 at 5:28 am #164089I’d think about dropping Powell as was I 1 of the few who noticed he couldn’t wait to get of the pitch on sat.If he doesn’t want to play get rid he’s not bigger than the tics but obviously thinks he is and put a couple of the kids in give them a chance as the likes of Grigg and toney not firing on all cylinders.defence and keeper must stay same safe rear guard.
12 December 2017 at 11:27 am #164090I’d think about dropping Powell as was I 1 of the few who noticed he couldn’t wait to get of the pitch on sat.A tad unfair. He had been down injured seemingly seriously just previously and to be honest when we were preparing the sub I thought he was still off. I hadn’t noticed that he had actually hobbled back on, so I presume he was wanting to get some treatment and that’s why he left sharpish.
I don’t think he’ll play because of the need to recover from whatever it was.12 December 2017 at 12:04 pm #164091Walton
Byrne Bruce Dunkley Elder
Perkins Power Evans/Morsy
Roberts Toney Colclough
Rests a couple (who would all be on the bench) and gives others some needed game time.
12 December 2017 at 12:43 pm #164092Paul Cook isn’t worried about giving fringe and squad players game time. He would have played them against Accrington and seen them progress and get further game time in the next round.
12 December 2017 at 1:20 pm #164093We all saw how poor Fylde were there are simply no excuses. Put them to bed early and make changes when the game is won. If Cookie losers this with ridiculous selections as he did against Stanley then he must be brought to account. I doubt he will but its a chance to get a few goals and much needed confidence up front.

He had neither again against Fleetwood. Not even scraps to feed off.

A cup run is as vital financially egg. Now the greed money has long gone we need the revenue a cup run will bring. FFS how many breaks does the modern player need?. They are fitter now than ever yet moan about being shagged out. Its Fylde for Christ sake they are hardly gonna give us the run around unless we treat it as a training exercise like last time. Winning becomes a habit so no arsing about just do the job they are paid to.

But for winning tonight, the club get only £27k plus whatever they take on the attendance (let’s guess at 5000 @ £10 = £50k minus operating costs) – and their reward is a trip to Bournemouth with a split of a ‘bumper’ 10k attendance, a probable defeat, the travel expense involves, and the risk of injury to players. For a club like Fylde, I’d agree that an FA Cup run is a golden goose, but for us, focusing on promotion, I think it’s a distraction we could do without.
I agree on the winning becoming a habit though, and I would like the manager to use it to give some fringe players game-time.
12 December 2017 at 6:20 pm #164106That’s it Standish. Nowadays the money in the PL and even the Championship dwarfs that of the cup. That’s why it is looked on as it is.
Our win in 2013 for example didn’t cover the weeks wages.
