That’s fair enough Filmoss, I think I understand what you are getting at. Obviously the system isn’t perfect and there will always be some vile people that get away with the most hideous of crimes. However, if we did change the system, what’s to stop you or I getting hung when some low life decides to throw a false accusation at you? The system and no system will ever be perfect. It’s hundreds of years in development and it’s not like there is much of an alternative system.
Sorry John, I’m far too young to know what you are talking about with that one ;)

I am always one of the first people to knock back the Middle England knee jerk bring back hanging crew. Each case is different and I can appreciate how difficult it can be sometimes to bring justice to the fore but on the whole I don’t have much confidence in the system. Some changes do need to be made but hanging is not the answer !

Was it when Robson and Jerome got to number one then, fuckin travesty that was, I can see why you’d be scared for your safety, if they ever come back your ears might fall off.

Well can we not just beat the shit out of them everyday, and then after 10 years, if it’s found that they didn’t do it after all, at least they weren’t hanged unjustly, and they can just get in with there lives, like Matthew Kelly did.
Can’t blame him, he’s been punished for something that he has been found not guilty of in a court of law. The point of an internal disciplinary hearing by the FA is crazy in my opinion. I don’t see how they can punish him in any way if he has been legally cleared of all charges. In any normal world of employment, his treatment by the FA would be considered unlawful. Fair enough he had to be kept out of the England squad until the trial was concluded, but once found not guilty of an accusation, it’s your employers responsibilty to ensure that your reputation is not affected by an accusation that has been determined unfounded.

And cutting through all the guilty or not guilty nonsense, John Terry is still a very good player. They say you should always pick your strongest team. But how can Roy Hodgson do that now Terry has retired? And to hear that Rio Ferdinand wants the captaincy back….no chance. Not for me anyway. He SHOULD be put out to grass.
John Terry has been sold down the river by the FA here. I don’t blame him one bit for retiring internationally.
Banned for four matches and fined £220,000. Relatively small punishment for somebody like Terry, probably in the hope that he won’t appeal it. If he does though, I believe we will se a humiliating defeat for the FA. I have a feeling he may just accept the punishment though for fear of the public outcry of him not accepting the punishment.
so what you saying that terry should be let off racism is disgsuting as is the use of four letter words and has no place in our sociaty the punishment is also rubbish if you called someone waht he has at a match you would be banned for 3 years or maybe life
