The thing about following your football team and Wigan Athletic, this season in particular, is that for most of the time it turns out to be not very interesting or entertaining. Then, every now and again, you get a game like today which makes you realise why it’s all worthwhile.
I couldn’t help feeling the euphoria afterwards was a bit premature but whatever happens next week those celebrations were justified on the second half performance alone.
I know it’s been a good day because even the wife hasn’t stopped talking about it.
Also, my 6-year old lad – up until now a Chelsea fan (so he thinks) – apparently charged round the house with his t-shirt over his head when Charlie bagged the winner.
