I know I am talking to the converted because the one thing any of us who give a shit enough to come on a forum and express our opinions,have in common is a passion and love for Latics all be it expressed in different ways but do we all have the same buzz for matches whether it is Liverpool/ Man Utd or Crewe/Port Vale. To me and I hope many others it is no different. How about anyone else?
To be honest, except for the first season in the PL, there was no buzz for games against Liverpool, United et al. There was a resignation of expected defeat.
Against Crewe, Port Vale etc there is the hope of a win, and maybe even a good win. And that is more of a buzz for me.
Tell you what I’ve noticed, but is to be expected really, is that now it only takes me 20 mins to get to the ground from Haydock.
Past seasons I’ve got there quite early anyway and had a beer in the concourse to get in match mood, but this season im going straight to my seat as there’s no real feel or atmosphere down there.
I suppose its to be expected really, maybe when we climb higher in the table and are chasing for promotion things will change.
