How do they not see that?
7 November 2010 at 3:22 am #50305I think the incident with Roberts’ goal today shows that technology can be used without delaying the game much – we saw 5 replays of that ‘off side’ before we kicked off again, had it been reviewed it could have been given as a free kick to us in the same time it would have taken for us to restart.
At SOL the Cattermole thing could have been reviewed well before that corner was taken as it was obvious. Mole sent off and penalty given in much the same time.
If it isn’t obvious, the decision stands and the game goes on… simples…. good seeing you again today BTW, although I thought I had broke my daughter’s hand at one point.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
7 November 2010 at 3:35 am #50308Can’t believe you mention me and breaking Ms arm in the same sentence ;)
Also, as I thought at the time, I’m afraid Roberts was just on.

:? Roberts wasn’t offside.

WTF is wrong with Charlie’s goal though? In the second half Roberts ‘fouls’ Caldwell in the exact same manner if not worse and it’s play on.
8 November 2010 at 12:11 am #50394On MoTD I thought the white line was put on a spiit second before the ball was actually kicked, so I disagree. It was offside.
8 November 2010 at 1:53 am #50401In that case Horc, you’re proper splitting hairs. And in such circumstances, the benefit of the doubt is supposed to go with the attacker.
Anyway, why has nobody lambasted Caldwell for stopping playing and sticking his arm up instead of finding Row Z? There, I’ve done it

I’m just extremely biased Griff and think the benefit of the doubt should always go with the Latics.
