Continue up front. No place for Clarke Waghorn or Billy Boy.
Winger wasted again with strikers available.
A fuckin joke!!!!28 February 2015 at 6:59 pm #1399741 up front vs Blackpool at this stage of the season in such a critical game is inexcusable, esp. when that 1 is Fortune. Hope I’m proved wrong.
Last chance saloon today. Lose today and we’re down.
28 February 2015 at 10:04 pm #139975Good win today, unfortunately the win pales into insignificance with Rotherham winning! If we at least go down fighting it will give us some hope for next season!
28 February 2015 at 10:21 pm #139976Not sure it’s insignificant. We go to Rotherham in a week or two and can get some pressure on them if we can pick up points before. Two away wins on the bounce can’t be knocked. Pity home forms so woeful.
28 February 2015 at 11:58 pm #139977In this league.last ten games make the difference at either end of the table.thats what my heads telling me. ;)

1 March 2015 at 12:06 am #139979Well with James on his wing and Clarke or fortune or Waghorn or Billy Boy in a partnership up front at least it will look like we are having a go.
A big well done today three points away is a good three points. Fingers crossed three points out of the next two games and a win at Rotherham and who knows. We have got out of bigger holes than this before like 2011/12 when Whelan intervened and we did that incredible escape act. Such a shame Bobby didn’t learn from that and persisted in his tactics leading us to relegation the next season. Credit when it is due to the side that’s six points out of the last six away which makes the whisky taste better tonight. Thought the board would be jammed tonight with everyone or do we just save it all for defeats.
Come to think of it many folk are out on the piss on Satdy neet or they’ve better things to do than talk Latics.1 March 2015 at 12:42 am #139981Well with James on his wing and Clarke or fortune or Waghorn or Billy Boy in a partnership up front at least it will look like we are having a go.

I’ve no idea who started this rumour about Whelan’s rally round the flag speech, but it’s been confirmed as complete twaddle by several people.
1 March 2015 at 2:27 am #139983Well if he didn’t Bobby did change his cautious, negative and boring tactics and it worked he kept us up.
In the FA Cup the year after he did the same and we won the cup. In the league he didn’t and took us down.1 March 2015 at 12:13 pm #139989I’ve been saying for weeks McClean belongs out wide crossing and coming inside. We looked far more balanced with McClean and Pennant rightside in the 2nd 1/2 at Blackpool even if the opposition were poor.
I think the players truly appreciated the fans support by coming over to us rather than a raised clap as they leave the pitch. Even if we do go down if we perform like that at least we’ll go down fighting which is all we ask for.
1 March 2015 at 1:41 pm #139991Thought Kim Bo was MoM; he’s on Duracell that lad.
Pennant was a lot better, showing some nice touches.
Fortune put in a good shift.
We were more effective when young Bart was replaced with Leon Clarke, who used his size and experience to good advantage.
Not a classic win, but it sure did feel good for a change !1 March 2015 at 1:49 pm #139992Young Bart will always struggle playing on marshes like Bloomfield and New Springfield.
