Smashing comments by Graeme Taylor during the United-Leeds match commentary on radio the other day.

Basically he was saying that Watford are in the trouble they’re in because they thought they were better and bigger than they actually are when they got in the Premier League, and started spending silly money that they haven’t got.

In familiar tones he was saying how Watford is only a small town of 80,000 and people there support bigger clubs – Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea etc. He now, with hinsight, wishes they’d been more careful and taken on things that they could have afforded.

He didn’t mention Wigan at all – but in my head I kept thinking how we actually were doing the things they should have.

And we are still in the Premier League without financial worries – while Watford are back down the leagues and in deep financial doodah.

Still you will NOT stop people moaning no matter what others say. In all fairness im sure we could afford one decent splash out for a striker.

Great post but heads and walls spring to mind.

The trouble is that some people can’t see what an amazing success story Wigan Athletic under Dave Whelan has been. It’s a bit like going to school; you only realise what a great time you had later in life.

Enjoy the success while you can – I doubt it will last forever but at least there will still be a Wigan Athletic when the bubble bursts thanks to some prudent management.

                  It is Fryatt.

Looks like we’ve out a £3m bid in for him. 12 goal so far for the Foxes, any good?
