That looks very much like the ticketing website from the RFL – which sells neutral tickets.

Why does it matter mutty? Fact is Hulls end is sold out and ours is far from it. 50 quid a ticket has some of them frothing at the mouth. No doubt if this was Latics they’d be calling us tinpot and laughing their heads off whilst claiming Wigan rugby once took 100,000 to Wembley.

Plenty of those blocks on sale from Wigan. Next excuse mutts? Too far to travel? School holidays?

You claim to be in the know, so ask your mates why they or their mates are not going. Perhaps, like me, they bought their ticket from the RFL a long time ago, and thus have no need to buy a ticket from Wigan once their place was confirmed.

Or perhaps its down to a big game at the DW at the same time – the one your owner wanted to change the kick off time but got told to whistle by the opposition.

For a mod, and a supposed supporter of both clubs, this is a bit childish. Has your account been hacked by Bullshit?

My mates are all going. Clearly plenty others aren’t.

I am a fan of both which is why I’m able to use the BS that both sides spout to good effect.

Latics were ridiculed for their following to the semi final in 2013 despite Wigan rugby taking 5000 to Leigh. Then of course when the final arrives the 23k aren’t real fans yet every Wigan rugby fan at Wembley a few months later was a season ticket holder.

Clearly in the know more than I am as I wasn’t aware of a requested fixture change.

Wembley hardly holds any magic for Wigan folk anymore. Unlike most towns and cities in England that can only dream about having their team at the national stadium, Wigan has sent 2 teams there frequently. On more than one occasion both Wigan clubs have been there within weeks of each other. As a small town is it any wonder than Wiganers have become a bit blasé about Wembley when we have been there so many times before.

Am I right in thinking that the worlds biggest rugby club are struggling to shift their tickets.

As have we in the past. Like I’ve already said Wembley is not the holy grail to Wigan folk. As a Latics fan and former England member I’ve been to Wembley 20 times or more. New stadium not got the magic the old one had. T B H from a non football result wise occasion the best overall event was the Millennium Stadium. Brilliant weekend out. Beats Wembley all ends up.

Its the Challenge Cup FINAL ffs the biggest knockout trophy in RL, it shouldn’t matter where its played the fans should make the effort, the lardies wont/dont go to games when they are playing shite/losing and they won’t go when they get to a final.

But i’ll tell you what, the pubs around the Wigan Borough will be full of folk with red and white rugby tops on the 26th August then giving it large if they manage to win.

                Wankers!

                Fuck the EFL

In the interests of fair and accurate reporting, rather than speculation, I tried a dummy booking for two seats together in the Wigan end. Blocks 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 501 and 506 had only single seats available. Blocks 502, 503, 505, 507 and 508 had no seats available.

That leaves the blocks that are priced at £55, £70 and £85 per head with no concessions.

I also had a look at what may potentially be restricting the sales in Wigan (ie other attractions on at the same date and time). There didnt seem to be any that were selling in large volumes. Entire rows are available at the DW that day, not just two seats together.
