The good, the bad and the ugly!

GOOD – The subs Martinez made were very brave and attack minded, I for one was happy with what he did at half time as both Scharner and N’Zogbia were sh.t in the 1st half. What I can’t understand is why people on here complain Martinez doesn’t make subs early enough when we’re losing and then when he does they complain about the subs he’s made. For me, the 2 players he took off were our 2 worst performers in the 1st half and he brought 2 forwards on to replace them. The fact the players who came on didn’t do much was down to their ability on the day and the fact we can’t score goals. The Gomez sub was down to the fitness of McCarthy and in truth, who else could he have brought on? Sinclair – been awful, Moreno – shocking last game???? We were as good as Birmingham and deserved a point. McCarthy didn’t have his best game but looks a very good talent and a big player for the future. Caldwell looks like our signing of the season, very good both in the air and on the floor and a strong tackling centre back.

BAD – We can’t score goals, Rodallega has 1 goal in his last 16, missing 2 pens. Scotland hasn’t scored a league goal all season hitting the post and the bar in 2 different games. Moses doesn’t look as if he’s ready for the prem yet and is rightly being used as a sub. We have a very defensive midfield which consists of a centre back playing completely out of position, Thomas who wins a lot of ball but can’t pass and Diame who blows hot and cold, one of the most inconsistent performers in the team although on his day is a very good player and the only one who looks like he could score from open play. N’Zogbia who doesn’t look interested, our keeper is scared, our back 4 have no confidence in each other or our keeper and rightly so, our full backs are always out of position, Melchiot is clumsy, Figueroa looks asleep and the whole team has no fight, we need to be stronger! The ref should have sent Ridgewel off for that tackle on McCarthy, was never a penalty and he booked 2 of our players for fook all.

UGLY – The football we’re trying to play, it’s not good and isn’t working.
