Great place, not overcrowded, prosperous and a happy place to live; not in the UK, not a member of the EU.

The prices of property in IOM is astronomical,a small two bed terrace would set you back over 200k.
A few years back the UK government/EU changed tax rules where all the ‘tax exiles’ in IOM had to be more transparent and show where their money was coming from.Hence, all the rich people earning shady money buggered off, leaving the IOMs mansions empty and without much hope of being sold.

A lovely place yes,but the economy is knackered.

Was in Douglas a few months back, that’s in a great location to.

Like a lot of UK holiday resorts, the place has lost its tourism to cheap hols abroad. Perhaps if we do leave the EU and the likes of Spain, France, Greece and Italy become priced out, our own tourism might rise from the ashes.
Having said that the thought of spending a fortnight in Rhyl, has just made me heave.

        From Matlock to ManU
        What a journey!
