Is the relegation battle !
Surely the controlling bodies must realise that themselves
23 August 2013 at 3:11 am #119692I agree with you – our profile rose massively to such an extent that we were the leading headline during that escape last season.
That never used to be the case and. It annoys me when newly promoted clubs talk about just staying up when just 35 years ago a club came up and won the league aka Nottingham forest !
Who will be the first manager to mention that -Holloway is my tip!24 August 2013 at 12:41 am #119721Hopefully the whole charade will implode one day and give us fans of football a welcome return of value for money and more importantly our game back ! The way Arsenal celebrated finishing 4th was the final straw for me and it eased the blow of relegation for me massively ! News today was of a possible £80m transfer deal for Gareth Bale ! WTF is all that about !! £80m, the World has gone fuckin mad !
24 August 2013 at 12:58 am #119722Well said football has gone mad

24 August 2013 at 1:16 am #119725To paraphrase Pink Floyd:
“It’s been mad for f***ing years, absolutely years, been over the edge for yonks…”

It’s the same yardstick mate if someones willing to pay that much then there are plenty out there willing to take it. :P B)

What a journey!24 August 2013 at 4:14 am #119728Premier League and interesting in the same phrase.Surely not. The
league is overated and over hyped. Bale 90 million is sick. Kids trapze off Astley Park in Chorley piss wet and shit up to the eye balls back to their cars because there are no facilities due to our Labour councils mis spending. But really we cant just blame our Marxist councils when the Sky infested game is so corrupted. How many changing facilities could a 10% levy on transfer fees was re directed to grass roots football?24 August 2013 at 4:23 am #119729This is coming from a chap who charges 15-20 quid for throwing a bit of water at some panes of glass.Very reasonable rates, Mr Abramovich. After all he’s here all day!

WTF is all that about !! £80m, the World has gone fuckin mad !Totally agree. The money generated by the Premier League and Champions League has ruined everything.
The importing of all these foreign players and managers means that in 5 years time there’s a chance that the England Team will be made up of players from the Championship or below. The English kids are not coming through in sufficient numbers in the PL teams
Once Gerrard and Lampard go who is the England midfield going to be. Wilshere is always injured. Cleverley ???? If he wasn’t at Man U, he wouldn’t be anywhere near the England Squad !! Average at best – he was for us as well.
I really fear for the game in this country.
24 August 2013 at 2:23 pm #119743The media have a lot to answer for too.
They hype up the PL and European competition (and yes, I know that may include us), but pay no attention to anything else.
Even when there is home-grown talent, and here I am thinking of Callum McManaman, the media fuel the furore to demonise him.
Well, I’m probably off to Brocstedes this afternoon – St Helens Town are playing North West Counties league leaders (won 5/5) Maine Road. And I’ll bet there’s no rolling around like they’ve been shot.

If its a team from Manchester playing, then take it that when a player does go down like a sack of spuds, he has been shot!

The average semi is £7 so not sure where you get your figures from ! We know you miss the Prem dearly but I certainly don’t !

Now come on Mr Moss I remember you distinctly talking about the posh estates you clean for and the money you got, no mention of the average semi at that time.
As for the prem, Yes I dearly want us to get back there ASAP, missing it No, I’m still watching and supporting my team like I have done both in the Prem and also non league.Shouldn’t you be out there now its stopped raining, dry shammy? B)

What a journey!24 August 2013 at 10:37 pm #119782I remember those films about window cleaners on posh estates, and the poor (female) householder not having any money to pay…. ;)
