Much improved I thought, although as ever, plenty of scope for improvement.

McCann…MOM for me. Showed what we’ve missed in recent months.

    Calum…was he on the pitch?

Roger…how many times did he give the ball away?

Foreshaw..best performance so far, looked like he had more time on the ball.

Fortune…not sure TBH, seemed to hold the ball up ok, but still ends up all over the wings instead of staying central.

Defence…Boycey not sure he’s up to right back anymore. Ramis good…Barnett improvement (although hardly a surprise after recent games  )

Maloney…very close to being MOM…back to his old sharpness. Coincidence?

No, I’d fine him for his previous poor performances this season.

It pains me to say this (awaits Griffs’ I told you so ;) ) but Roger Espinoza was a nightmare today. He gave headless chickens a bad name and the number of times he gave the ball away (what on earth was that back heel) I was very pleased when he was substituted, although, for me, it should have been 10 minutes earlier.

It’s come to something that we can actually argue a genuine case for 2 players to be MOM :woohoo:

I thought we looked pretty solid today and was pleased with the performance. We probably ended with something like the team we should have started with.

Emmerson Boyce is a centre back now and not a full back. Roger Espinoza does not have the finesse for that position; it should be Maloney’s.

It seems strange that everyone (including myself) could see which substitutions and changes were necessary before they happened. Does that mean that MacKay is predictable or that we are all becoming experts (including Griff’s know-nowts ;) )?

PS McCann looked a class apart.

They’re not exactly free, but very reasonably priced ;)

Chris McCann played the roll that’s been missing all season and Sean was great. Those two playing those roles took the pressure off Forshaw. Tuther midfielders judgement reserved Roger just gave the ball away and Callum starved of ball. Nice to see Ben back but McCleans final ball was woefull yet again.
Enjoyed the match for a change.

Scared stiff, now – I agree with all of that.
