If the 1st goal hadn’t had stood I think we would have played with confidence and a decent tempo. For quite a lot of the 1st half we were well on top but the thing missing was a goalscorer that works hard. I thought i’d never say this but …… give Scotland a bash next season !
I know Scotland can’t score many but without him in the team there’s no pressure on the defence.

What a journey!I agree. I know I might sound stupid but if Caldwell hadn’t of been sent off we might of got something out of it. When they got their 2nd they knew they were gonna win seeing they were playing against a 10 men Wigan side so for the rest of the game they could relax and play for the fans.
I think some self analysis and a reality check is needed guys if you really think that the sending off really made the difference…yep we had a good first twenty minutes but we are so spineless and weak that its laughable
And as for the Scotland suggestion…funniest joke this year!!

As soon as Lampard scored the pen he knew that we weren’t ever going to score as least 2 with a team including Pollitt and Melchiot. It would be a shame to see Melchiot go, but it’s time. Hugo, N’zogbia, Melchiot, Scharner, Pollitt, Stojkavic, Kapo, Moreno, De Ridder, Koumas, Cywka, Routledge, Holt, Kingston and Sinclair all likely to leave. What does that leave us with ? Kirkland, Boyce, Bramble, Caldwell, Figueroa, McCarthy, Diame, Thomas, Watson, Moses, Scotland and that’s as a starting 11. The bench would be, Gomez, Kupisz, Nicholls, Gohouri, McManaman, Bouaouzan, Amaya.
