I’ll start the debate off by saying fantastic run and cross from Windass for Maca’s goal.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!29 November 2018 at 2:24 am #173465I’ll start the debate off by saying fantastic run and cross from Windass for Maca’s goal.I’m starting with a criticsm. 2 mins and 4 secs isn’t long enough for highlights. And another … Macmamamamaum should start every game. The bench he sits on is warm enough.
Early on, from the reporter who wasn’t there I was sure someone was going to get sent off.Reluctantly I’ll offer some positives … it is great to get a win. Even better for me than anyone else ‘cos its lifted my mood. Some good play I imagine. Wish I was there. Gary Roberts is world class.
Thanks team! Repeat performance next saturday, please.
29 November 2018 at 2:39 am #173467Windass was excellent who would have thought that was coming when Powell cried off again (how injured is he really. Cook wasn’t impressed).
Mom Vaughn29 November 2018 at 2:43 am #173468Fanbloodytastic boys, mote please against our six fingered brethren.COYL
29 November 2018 at 2:46 am #173470Cook needs to go. Totally out of his depth and half the players are just not good enough.
4 points from 2 games is a poor return after a run of losses. Sort it out Melvin.

Mom VaughnI think if he was peed off it wasn’t due to the fact that he didn’t think Powell was injured but more that he’d declared himself fit when he probably knew he wasn’t & now he’s likely to be out for a longer spell
29 November 2018 at 2:49 am #173473I’ll start the debate off by saying fantastic run and cross from Windass for Maca’s goal.I will second that and also make Windass my Man of the Match. Didn’t we improve such a lot when Powell went off too.
29 November 2018 at 2:58 am #173475Just landed back from hols……couldn’t wait to see score…..jizzed my kecks..Don’t mind going back to work tomorrow. Well done Paul Cook and well done to every player
29 November 2018 at 3:36 am #173480The first 25 minutes was a bit like dejavu from Saturday, but once Windass replaced Powell we were a different team and in complete control.
Excellent performances all round, especially Windass, Vaughan and Roberts.PS Cal Naismith was good again at left back.
PPS Their goal should never have been allowed.29 November 2018 at 3:41 am #173482Top performance. Defence solid. Midfield worked their balls off. Threatened up top. Faith restored.
29 November 2018 at 3:44 am #173483Windass did two things differently today, he played closer to Vaughan who won nearly every header and got the ball, he also played more like Grigg, he ran the channels excellently and dragged Blackburn defenders out of position, he also closed them down forcing them to knock long balls which was food and drink to our excellent defence.
Windass had a more free role aka Powell tonight playing off Vaughan and it worked very well and suited them both.

That was because we got the ball to Windass while he was on the move from around the half way line rather than going through Powell then Windass leaving him no space. It’s like I’ve said before, we can’t afford to wrap Powell up in cotton wool anymore. He’s clearly injury prone, if he weren’t he would be with us.
Big improvements from Naismith, a couple of those crosses were top draw. The problem Cook has is consistency with the mounting injuries list we have29 November 2018 at 2:30 pm #173488Top performance. Defence solid. Midfield worked their balls off. Threatened up top. Faith restored. My faith is always restored. Even when we don’t win a game.
29 November 2018 at 2:32 pm #173489Windass had a more free role aka Powell tonight playing off Vaughan and it worked very well and suited them both.He probably played well as he was playing in his more natural position, as opposed to playing out wide.

And that folks is what you call ‘Blind Faith’. Not a bad thing I hasten to add but a stance that is bereft of vivacity, a stance that is staid! I guess I am just too passionate and animated but it wouldn’t do for us all to be the same I guess eh! ;)
