We have sold our best player and replaced him with a no mark free transfer from Wolves
7 August 2011 at 8:12 pm #696331-0 to Wigan, Moses on the stroke of half time, set up by Di Santo.

I didn’t think so.
The game was played with good support for both teams, and I think all substitutions (including Villareal’s) were applauded. I got no sense at all in the East Stand of any ironic clapping of Gomez. I think he was just applauded off.
8 August 2011 at 12:56 am #69667That no mark free transfer from Wolves had a great 30 minutes. Always wants the ball and has the vision to bring our wide players into the game. Yes it’s only 30 minutes but I don’t think it’s right to write a player off before he even kicks a ball. It may well be that he needed a change of scenery OR Wolves direct style did not suit him. End of the day it’s more-or-less a no-risk move. I agree that we need to sign another wide player as Gomez is not the answer. Moses looks class and both central strikers staked a claim for a start on Saturday.
Despite Nzogbia leaving I’m a little more confident than this time last year.
8 August 2011 at 1:49 am #69671Played some good stuff today and optimistic for the season ahead. I think with the addition of a good player for the right hand side we will have a great season. We created lots of chances and looked dangerous when we had the ball. Moses played fantastic and with a bit of luck his creativity could have led to more goals.
Slightly shakey at the back in stages but really happy with what I saw.
