19 September 2011 at 11:51 pm #71441Clearly by concreting themselves to that tub they have made themselves unavailable for work. I hope someone is now stopping their Jobseekers’ Allowance.

i see despite all your club and message board contributors brave words and posturing you have meekly bowed to the football comes first rule and moved your playoff game back to sunday – does this mean there will be another great pie boycott ?
while i’m on, can you explain this getting beat in a knockout competition and still being in it rule ?
buggered if the rest of the sporting world can understand it.

Not sure what time you clod that egg off on sunday but unless the french side bring 3,500. You could be looking at an embarrassment in the stands goosey boy.Don’t buy the rugby post or any local rag at all. But i bet they didn’t mention the appalling turnout for such a HUGE game. You could have played it on the sat as we were at goodison in front of 31k.???????

The reward for finishing in the top 4 of the league table is that you get a second go should you lose your first game. On the other side, you get a week off to rest up if you win. RD1 for the top 4 teams effectively isn’t knock out, it’s qualifying as the term “Qualifying semi final” indicates. You either qualify for the semi final or you have to go and do it the hard way.
(I don’t agree with the format of the competition and nor do a lot of fans but who are we to decide……..)
