      Horwich is.

      Manchester (x2) is.

      Liverpool (x2) is.

Blackburn & Burnley arent that expensive to get to.

      Good turnout and good result.

Respect to all those loyal fans.

As scholes says 7 trips to the capital last season expensive doos with no freebies

I was referring to Griff’s remarks about all rugby games being local, so the London issue is irrelevent.

That wasn’t the way I read it, I read it like this (3rd thread down)

Fair play to those who travel to the south of France for 80 minutes of sport, the week after a 3000 took a trip to South West London.

Out of interest, when was the last time the latics took 3000 fans to an away game?

No mention of griff, he hadn’t even contributed to this thread at this point

I had no issue with the opinion that you expressed, I just served to answer the question which followed and you repeatedly asked.

Your arms must be sore with all the goal post moving you are doing

An away game. Not an away game in London. I know you only manage about 200 when its a London game, but I was (seriously) surprised that it appears you havent managed 3000 to any away league game since you were promoted to the premiership. Not even in the novelty season.

I was expecting the answer “Sheffield Utd”.

I will answer your question mutty, even though you are comparing apples with eggs again

A bit like comparing rugby with football, but you lot keep creating threads dedicated to a totally different sport.

Now try answering this one honestly – how many fans would Wigan Warriors take to London if they had to go there half a dozen times a season paying anything from £35 to £48 a ticket ( with no freebies for kids ) when it’s on in every pub for free and the team had been hanging about in the relegation zone all season, indeed for several years?

Probably about 300 uber-fans that would go each time and about 2500 that would go once or twice each and make a weekend of it. So, I guess an average of about 800-1000.

I agree hence my comments about people trying to compare apples with eggs earlier. Remind me again who was that?

You were the one making the comparison, I gave you reasons why you shouldn’t have made the above comparison such as 1) fewer away games in total 2) fewer away games in the capital 3) relative success of teams 4) TV exposure of relative teams 5) availability of tickets 6) the most important one, the expense e.g. it’s £15 to get in at Harlequins so you can get three adults and unlimited season ticket holding kids in for less than the price of just one ticket to watch Latics at Chelsea.

          Bluenon started this rugby-related thread.

          32 starts a few too.

Occasionally the mods will also start one.

          I never start them.

          Hope that helps.

Not really. I only joined in this thread because you seemed to be seeking help by repeatedly asking a question. I answered it, as you requested. I didn’t need any help, I was just giving you some ;)

No it isn’t. It has still been a HUGE let down and I don’t mean just because England were crap.
